I dislike all foreign cars. I will never own one. Only American cars for me. Mainly chevy. Spend your money where you make it. That's here In the US. I try to only buy American made products also. Do 90% of my grocery shopping at Giant food store cause they are a union company. Maybe I am bias because I am a union worker.

What's more American? The Toyota made in the US or the "American" car with foreign parts?

    :p

You have a valid point but the money for that Toyota goes back to Japan while the money for the American cars stays in America.

Is there really a difference whether it goes to an American tycoon or a Japanese tycoon?

Ok... but the plants in the US are full of american workers... So you don't wanna support them lol? I get what you're saying, but it's a wishy washy argument imo lol. The toyota factory in TX is where my dream tundra's are made! :please:

True but take away all the money that goes to the workers, all the taxes the plant pays and the money they give back to the city. I bet its close to the money leaving the country to have all those parts shipped in.

The Toyota plant here in Kentucky also pays its workers their salary to work for the community. Instead of laying them off when its slow.

Pros and Cons to everything I guess.

I can never afford a new car anyway. The only person that gets my money is the previous owner :o

Hell, I had a $10 bill the other day that said "Made in China" haha.

GM's Pontiac Vibe is the SAME platform as the Toyota Matrix. The same car, the same parts.

Yes gm does have a partnership with Toyota just like ford and Mazda are the same. If the minimal wage had kept up with time it would be close to $22 an hour. I total agree about the tycoons and that's a big problem with large companies. They do not want to pay the employees but want them to work more for less. That's one good thing about being union is they right for a fair wage. To be honest though my trade has not kept up. We have not gotten a raise in about three years because the contractors do not want to pay more but they want mor done for less pay. I know everyone has their own opinions about unions.
