I'm so sorry to hear that Wes. There really aren't words that can fix it but my thoughts are with you. Keep your head high, don't linger and beat yourself up, and don't give up.

    Regards,

    B

I do not wish to add 'what ifs' to this thread, but you mentioned you hadn't considered adding a failsafe to the AC.

So you're saying you could put a failsafe on the AC where if it gets TOO hot the AC turns off like you would use a Tstat on a heater? So you set the Tstat to like 90 and if it ever hits that temp you assume that having the AC running is not helping but hurting?

Oh wow, this is really horrible, I feel so bad for you right now. To lose so much in so little time I can't even imagine what you're going through.

Yes, it was relatively cool this weekend here(only about 85-86) so the building would have probably only gotten to about 95 or so if the ac unit would have shut off.

It also looks like I am going to loose the mystic girl and a couple of the babies... They are corkscrewing :(

......Don't think anything I can say will help; I don't even know what I would do in this situation......

Everything I think of sounds like crap; there aren't words to express how sorry I (and we as a community) are for you

    Wes that sucks big time.
I am guessing that your ac unit does not fit the widow right so you were trying to duct the exhaust heat out the window and it failed to stay in and actually caused it to heat the room up more (by blowing the exhaust air back in) .

It was a portable ac unit that has an exhaust hose that connects to a bracket you put in the window. The bracket had no way to be secured to the window and the window on my building is small and doesn't hold much weight on the bracket. So I put 3M double sided tape on the top and bottom of the bracket before I put it down in the groves of the window, then taped the outside of it with aluminum tape. I guess that wasn't enough because it came back out... I am taking two pieces of flat bar that are a little bit longer than the outside of the window and I am going to secure the bracket from the outside so it cannot come out again. Something I should have thought of to start with, and am now kicking the hell out of my self for it.
