I remember being a sophomore in high school and listening to it on a computer in the basement feeling slightly let down. It took awhile for me to warm up to it and I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as Hybrid Theory.

I still buy cd's with almost every check lol. My last ones from last week were:
Arch Enemy - Wages of Sin
Marilyn Manson - Antichrist Superstar and Born Villain
Cannibal Corpse - Butchered at Birth
King Diamond - Them
Amon Amarth - Surtur Rising
Immortal - Sons of Northern Darkness.

If you like Mastodon, check out Turbid North. Their last album "Orogeny" is epic. So much talent, so little recognition.
