Even a gentle bite from a big predator can cause devastating injuries to human tissue. I'll have to see if I can't get Kara to post some pics of her hand after a big retic grab her hand. It looked like she lost a fight with a chainsaw..

Yeah it really sucks that we have to worry about watching what we post on matters such as this. I really appreciate the guy posting this because it shows people how much damage these snakes can do and how much responsibility they are when you take them in. But your right, we will probably see these pictures/videos on some animal planet episode about exotics being evil and the owners being the most irresponsible people in the world soon enough.

I know, ithought that too. The sad part is even though that is a bad bite its nothing compared to what my german shepherd could do to someone. Yet not many people are trying to ban her. :(

Don't get them started. Some places are trying to ban pit bulls.

And didn't the guy say he was building rat racks? Could he have been touching feeder materials and forgot to wash up before going near his retic? And I agree, definitely looks like he tried to pull away.

Minnesota has a write up in the state constitution stating that they can't make any bans on a dog breed.( not sure how its worded I just know it was used to drop the two try's the lawmakers made on banning pits) but what the city I live in is doing every land lord won't rent to pit bulls any more it's terrible I was homeless for 3 weeks before I bought my trailer. I looked everywhere and they all said no pits and no bully dogs

    Seriously? As in a bulldog?

If someone ever said I wasnt aloud to rent from them because of my bulldog I would punch them in the adams apple.

My bulldog is the sweetest and friendliest little attention seeker.

    On topic :

In the post it says that the retic twisted his head thats why his skin teared. IMO I am never having anything bigger then a BP. Thankfully I still havent been bit by a snake. Yet...

Ya all bully's like bull mastiff, well any mastiff, any kind of pit from American pit bull- American bully's and even dogs crossed with pit like a lab/pit it's crazy the pounds around here are always full of pit bulls. They say they have to buy too high of insurance if they rent to those dogs, they use same excuse to deny herps (people I rented from at least did that with snakes) so I'm sure my old landlord would love to see this picture haha an ya some kind of pulling or ripping happened. Looks painful is all I know.

Yeah I caught that as well about making rat racks. Also though males are in breeding mode mine is going ape looking for a girl right now. Breeding and feeding dangerous times. Always be mindful. And yes we have a city ordinance forbidding pit bulls in city limits about 20 miles from my home.
