    Didn't he use probes? They are the only consistently reliable way to determine sex, and even they aren't perfect depending on experience of user and the snake in question.

    She didn't use probes, she just looked at her tail end and gauranteed that it was a girl!

    Ack!!! All the more reason to ditch her as your herp vet. Maybe she's fine with dogs and cats, but she apparently doesn't even know what she doesn't know about snakes!

    Then the accuracy of the answer is definitely important and you should have her sexed by someone experienced in doing so, for sure. I hope the prof can give you a definite answer.
