Ok Travis, I sent him an email with a link to this thread. His names Troy Dozier. Hopefully he gets it soon and gets back to you. As far as I know, he's very good at picking out het clowns so maybe he can give you some insight.

Ok now that photobucket is cooperating...Now that I'm past tired...but here goes.

Het clowns and co-dom het clowns from what I've produced tend to have aliens that look like they are dripping/melting into the belly, the yb hets we made exemplify this trait ALOT

Het clowns tend to have a neck stripe that ends bluntly behind the head like this yellowbelly het clown...

I have produced a bunch of yellowbelly's and none looked anything like the yb het clowns do.

I have also produced a bunch of black pastels and the black pastel het clowns we produced last year also have the drippy aliens unlike others I have produced.

Female 100% het clown...high gold neck stripe, drippy aliens.
    http://i968.photobucket.com/albums/a...ehetclown1.jpg
Male 100% het clown showing the white coming up off of the belly...
    http://i968.photobucket.com/albums/a...y/IMG_0651.jpg

All 35 of the 100% het normals I produced last year had the same head spot, but I have noticed it seems to fade some as they grow and I'm not sure ALL 100% hets have it, but mine did.

Maybe this helps, maybe not, but I'm a firm believer in the clown gene doing some crazy stuff to anything it touches.

I think the drippiness of the aliens is part of the clown teardrops.

Those YBs definitely look like exceptional examples of YB, and it might be due to the het clown gene :gj:.

Thanks for the informative post on "markers".

Thanks Foschi! I hope to hear from him soon! Since the female is 66% het anyways, I'll enjoy the gamble :D.

The yellowbelly I used to make these yb hets is a very plain jane low flamage yellowbelly, which leads me to completely agree with your comment, the clown gene changes the yb pattern immensely imo.

Poop... The guy said that both of them have refused food for the past 2 weeks so he's going to have to pass on the sale.. Sounds like an excuse, but hey - if he doesn't want to sell 'em to me, then he doesn't have to :confuzd:...
