I cut mine at day 53 this year, and out of 6 eggs I got 5 healthy babies (The one that didn't make it died much earlier before cutting, because it was not fully developed and had lots of kinks ;/). I cut "V" flaps as some1 earlier showed. They all crawled out before day 60.
Sorry for your loss :(.

Reading this broke my heart!
I know absolutely nothing from personal experience because i have not bred bp's yet.
But, what about giving that snake some egg yolk manually? Does any1 think that will give it some strength?
As I said, just an idea... I am far from qualified to give advice on breeding.

I've never seen someone cut an egg open like that. A V shape is all that is needed.
Poor snake.

i checked on him as of right now and he is still kicking so i misted him down quite a bit and he moved around a little bit ( still terribly lethargic) But as of right now still holding on.
And ive seen a handful of videos when people cut them open more than a v-shape, not saying thats its right because i definitly wont be doing that nemore.

poor little guy maybe its time to cut the cord and put him in a tub and see if he gets better. feed him some yolk from a chicken egg like che said, i seen a few breeders do that.

I don't know about chicken yolk but I have seen a couple breeders start to feed much earlier because of wrapped cord or etc. they did a pinky slurry though.
Don't give up on him, I've had some babies that were VERY lethargic when hatching, but perked up once they finished absorbing the yolk--and the day afterward, they behaved normally.
I've also had babies hatch and crawl free before absorbing most of the yolk, and they can be somewhat lethargic, but I've never lost one due to this--they will usually feed immediately after shedding, and once they're feeding, they're fine.
Fill that egg up with water. I've cut too early once or twice--usually anticipating hatching on day 55 when the animals decided to wait until after day 60 to emerge. I actually pour water into the open eggs, and they all do fine. It's important not to allow the membranes or yolk sac to dry out.
