Due to some booking issues (among other mix ups) we ended up saving a TON of money on our trip. I promised some pics, so here ya go. I took close to 1,000 pictures, which I'm not going to even attempt to post, so here is the extremely condensed version of our trip.

A few pics of our cabin...

Our gutless little baby car we rented. Mazda 2 series hatchback. To be honest, I ended up really enjoying this little guy a lot! The best part was the 37mpg fuel economy with A/C blasting...

    Chimney Rock in Shell, Wyoming...

Shell Falls in the Big Horn Mountains...

Dinosaur track at the Red Gulch Track Site...

    Devil's Kitchen...

Neat rock formation between Cody, WY and Yellowstone...

One of the many geysers we went to in Yellowstone...

Ahhh im so jealous! Love the pics!
That cabin looks so nice and cozy. I would love to live in something that size, maybe only a tiny bit bigger.

The geyser is especially cool. I definetly hope to visit that part of the country someday.

The car is nice too. Im looking for a new car, gunna def be getting one by the end of the summer, and im leaning heavily towards a Honda Fit. (I think ill make a thread on it soon just to see people opinions.) :)

I almost bought a Honda Fit a couple years ago, but the folks at the dealership rubbed me the wrong way so I walked out. I wish I had gotten it, though, because I hate my Chevy Cobalt with a passion! It was cheaper and has way more power, but its a piece of crap.

The cabin was small, only about 400sq ft. It would be perfect for a single guy/gal or couple without kiddos. It definitely beat some of the apartments we've lived in I think. It had that "cool" factor too it.

Everyone needs to hit up Yellowstone at least once in their lives. Same goes with Vegas.

I never cared for Civics either. Something about them just didn't do it for me, so I feel ya.

You don't have to gamble or even spend a lot of money to have a great time in Vegas. There are all sorts of free and inexpensive attractions. Last time we went we mostly just wandered up and down the Strip (especially at night!) and checked out all the hotels. Each has its own theme and are completely different than the next. They pretty much all offer some sort of exciting exhibit (ie: lion habitat at MGM Grand, dolphins/big cats at Mirage, etc). You can't forget about all the neat shops to visit, endless show choices, countless clubs and the food... Oh man, you can get some amazing eats in Vegas. Wicked Spoon in the Cosmopolitan Hotel and The Buffet in the Bellagio Hotel are amazing. Another thing, if you're over 21 and like to drink, there are no public intoxication laws, so you can walk up and down the Strip drunk as a skunk with a yard cup of daiquiri and a bag of Jello shots from Fat Tuesday's and no one will hassle you (unless you're belligerent).

I will be going to Carcassonne, France in about three weeks time. Home to one of the best preserved Medieval walled cities in Europe and the site of a giant Cathar (heretic) fortress! We'll be stopping in Toulouse as well. Gearing up to drink some French wine and *hopefully* see the sun for a week! (The UK is off to a hopelessly wet summer. I've never seen so much water in June!)
