It's only a problem if you don't like Coca-Cola or sweet tea...and, down here we call them Moon Pies, not Whoopie Pies...similar concept, different execution

For most people I think breeder loans would be a mistake, it takes a pretty special friendship to pull it off successfully.
I think the key here is "special friendship". Not necessarily meaning someone you would trust your life with, but you have to both have the right mentality and neutrality to pull it off. No emotions invlolved, otherwise you may lose a friend if something goes wrong.
We have a breeding loan agreement with a friend, we have his albino girl, he has 8 of our normal girls. He gets most of the Morph females, we get all the Morph boys and 1/5 of any Morph girls. This works well for us because our females are normals, he is providing all the Morph males to breed with, and currently, it is Morph males we are needing. Next season, we will get 100% of the morphs, male or female, assuming we end up with males this season to work with.
I can imagine it gets much more touchy with Morph females where their cost increases significantly. In our case, it also helps that we mold our breeding plans according to our friend, so as not to overlap projects- we will both be after different morphs from any loan done, rather than both competing for the same animals.
Our system works for us... but it can be easy disaster for others
