THanks guys. Got my PAM and used it on his cage last night. I could already see dead mites all over his newspaper. I cannot wait for him to not have mites fall off of him in the bathtub anymore. Im excited for his recovery. Today is his follow up. Ill keep this updated.

Re: Two new rescues. *Poss. Disturbing*
More good news. Took Petri to the vet yesterday and she was impressed. The infection in his mouth and tail are going away and the bare bone in his face is getting covered up. I now have to put ointment on his face daily but his pain meds do not need to be used anymore. He still needs to soak about twice a week or so. Things are def looking up. I cannot wait for them to both get over the mites so I can move them into my snake room.

And I thought I was bad when my humidity dropped to 45% for a few days when I got my BP...

Glad to see they are doing well, beautiful snakes. How did they take to handling?

They have no issue with handling. Big girl would give out a faint hiss but never had an issue. Little man loves being handled. As long as we don't give him his meds haha

More good news. I will hopefully get some pics tonight. The male is doing much better and his nose is beginning to heal. Big girl is still just being herself. I'm moving the male into a different cage so he is not able to rub his face on wire. But thanks for all the comments. We're finishing his meds soon, let's hope this RI disappears

I love that this story is having a happy ending! I have teared up reading this post, animal cruelty of any kind really gets to me. I am so glad that everything is slowly improving and that from the minute you took these snakes home, their misery began to ease. You are a saint, my friend. Just keep doing what you do.

It's so great that the snakes are doing so much better under your care. Hope their recovery continues. That previous situation they were in sounds like it was absolutely horrible.

Thanks for doing this, keep us updated.

More good news. I know I haven't posted in forever but it's the busy time of year for me. Petri is doing well. He's down to just Fortaz every three days. He had shed the other day and the tip of his tail had fallen off. Over the past few days ive been doing cleaning and ointment and it's healing well. His face is doing good too. He also ate again. I gave him a large rat and small and left him alone. He ate the small and did nothing with the large so I hope to move him up to mediums soon. The female is doing great and so far we think we have beat the mites. Anyway, here's some pics. Enjoy.http://img.tapatalk.com/addaf4b8-fc45-b2a6.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/addaf4b8-fc55-6cfa.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/addaf4b8-fc64-c154.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/addaf4b8-fc73-747d.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/addaf4b8-fc81-faf8.jpg
