BHB and Markus Jane

I don't feel that email to you was rude at all. I feel you might be over-sensitive to the extreme because someone wasn't falling over to accept a payment plan on a snake you wanted.

Could the email have been more detailed and elaborate? Sure. You could have gotten some long drawn out reply that basically said "Sometimes, which snake were you interested in?" in long drawn out phrasing.

"Greetings to you, most appreciated potential customer, I hope you are having a spectacular day. Thank you so much for considering our most unworthy selection of reptiles. If you would be as good and kind as allowing us to know which animal you might be interested in purchasing, I could send you all the information about what sort of payment arrangement we may be able to work out, if that is to your satisfaction. If this is agreeable to you, please send us the appropriate information. Thank you again so much for considering us for your future reptile needs!"

You know... that says the same thing, but I'll bet if you got THAT response, you'd say it was rude because obviously they are being all sarcastic to you. If you've got a chip on your shoulder over anything you can perceive as possibly rude to you in any way, you're going to read whatever response you're sent as rude. JLC's reply to you is a good example. You took a opinion and twisted it as if JLC called you "super pointless" then threw a tantrum wanting the whole thread deleted and then saying you wanted to have your account deleted, and now you've started a thread to cause drama.

My suspicions are that you(typically for your personallity) didn't get the responses bashing the breeders you're singling out, so you feel embarrassed and angry, so you hope to get banned(since no one will do what you demand and delete your account or thread) so you can feel like the poor victim of unreasonable people running a terribly rude website.

The fact is, you got a brief reply answering your query. You got opinions posted in a calm and respectful manner, disagreeing with your post, and even puzzled as to why you would recieve "rude" replies from the breeders(which you only posted about one, btw).

You could use this to examine if you are reading typed responses in a deliberately 'bad' tone, and see if perhaps people aren't as bad as you've been thinking. You could even learn that a little extra effort can lead to lasting friendships and a lot of advice and understanding with new knowledgeable people. You could exchange opinions with a great deal of people on this site, enjoying keeping reptiles in a herping community.

And for the record, I have dropped thousands on a snake before. I've also wanted an animal for a few hundred and not had that much lump cash. But just because I don't have that lump o cash, doesn't mean that "no one" has that sort of cash, and that everyone does payment plans. Most folks save up the cash and then look for the snakes they want. It's just less risky that way, because if you don't have that much extra money, who knows if some emergency might pop up(car breaks down, illness, water heater suddenly leaks boiling water all over your carpet...) and suddenly you don'thave the next payment, leading to you losing the deposit entirely!

My advice, which is worth exactly nada, but it's free.... Start reading things in a happier tone in your head. It'll lead to less stress overall and you might just find a whole lot of cool folks to talk to. Also, save the money THEN look for the snakes you want, because it's SO much more satisfying to put down that lump of cash and get the animal. Also, a lump of cash can lead to a discounted price vs a payment plan at full price.

It's all your choice as to how to live your life.

I think you totally misunderstood what I was asking. I never even stated my "status", if you will, in my post?? Which is totally irrelevant.

Anyway, what I meant was if you were asking in GENERAL in terms of large breeders, or specifically these two specific companies/people.

I don't know if I have missed something, but what does your bad experience with BHB have to do with Markus Jayne? I didn't see where you stated your experience with them. I'm curious because Mark Mandic (Markus Jayne) is a Canadian breeder.

First of all, I am sorry that you felt that you were being treated in a rude manner, however there may be an explanation. Maybe your email went into Spam folder? My mother who is on my contacts list will email me, then I email her back, and never hear back....so I check the Spam folder and yep sure enough it is there along with all the other Spam I get usually for Viagra (like hello I'm a woman). Anyway, I NEVER check my Spam folder unless Im emailing my mother.

Either way, I have never personally dealt with either ones. Only ones I have bought from was UnderGround Reptiles who later said the snake came from VPI that they sent me. Anyway, I don't think they were being rude with that email. Probably curious about the snake you were interested in as a $50-$100 snake I wouldn't do a payment plan on.

This is my first year breeding, however, I have noticed that when going to Expos all the breeders get along great and seem to 'have each other's back' instead of looking at other breeders as competition and I think that is the way it should be instead of the way most Industries are. :D

With that being said, I know that I wouldn't appreciate someone saying I'm rude just because of an email. [Stuff] happens and for whatever reason communication was lost. Since you don't know one way or another as to WHY the communication was lost, its not fair to post a Thread to a site where not only is there people that know Of BHB and Markus Jane but where there is really no proof at hand, stating that they were being Rude.

Let's think before we speak...or should I say, type.
