So far just the one egg has pipped. I'm fairly certain baby #1 here is a little boy. It's a little disappointing because I really wanted a little girl but he's awfully cute.
Also, just a little FYI on using a deep sphagnum bed (2"+) with brooding moms... Moms flip out when something unseen is burrowing around under the bedding near their nest.
