    It would be hard for me to say if the 64-bit version is any faster, as I don't have a comparable machine running the 32-bit version. You won't gain much speed at all though. The single biggest advantage for most users is the ability to use more ram.

    Doesn't seem much faster than my quad core Win7-32 bit at home though, but I have not put them through many tests. It runs my VM's very well though, better than any other laptop I have used. I think the i7 processor has more to do with that though.

    This is true. If you don't have a good video card, I would no longer call the system a "gaming laptop".
