But why is it ok for others to put me down? The critics out there are ruining me. Stop thinking of me of some complicative child and see that i am just talking and most of the time with a little sarcasm. Im a good peoples im not a bad guy! Im just from a different generation then you! LOL!!!:D

you know the only reason that I come off like this is because you all know what happend at BLBC. Everyone is hopeing for me to screw up because its fun to see someone get mad. Well please guys, I am trying to be better then I was when I did that. But if I dont feel respect from this forum then I sertainly wont enjoy it. What am I supposed to do? Act like I dont know the difference between co-dom and ressesive? Im just saying. Just say you will give me respect and everything will be good. No more talking down comments just I will give you respect and I hope we can come to an understanding.

I have to say, coming from an outsiders perspective, you began with the talking down first.

oh shoot I almost bought a few snakes from you one time!:P Yea i might have I dont know anymore. I didnt mean to if I did. I just desperitly want to be seen eye to eye with these couple of people. I know the one comment about maybe I shouldnt have bought a bp in the first place kicked it off for me. Dont know when it started for them? LOL. I handled it well i think. I thanked for the advice and simply shouted out that i am not a beginner so please dont act like im one. If this doesnt get handled in this thread then how will it be resolved when I post another one or try and ask a question again and know one responds? It needs to be handled because me being the newbe on the site its them 5 and me 0. How do you think that will be relayed to everyone else?

That's entirely up to you and not to anyone else. Someone...I don't care who...big, famous movie-star breeder....can come on here and talk down to me and disrespect me...and it won't change how people here see me because ~I~ have built my own reputation and no one else has the power to tear that down but me.

Only YOU can build your own reputation, and it WON'T happen over night or with a scant handful of posts, no matter how badly you wish it were instant. Handle yourself with dignity and humility and restraint, and that is what people will see, no matter what anyone else says to you.

Ok lets see if i can explain REALITY to you. When you come to a forum WE have no idea who you are or what you REALLY know.So its your job to show PROPERLY your level of experiance here.We only go by what we read.So far you have shown you are NOT as experianced as you would like us to think. If you had 15yrs experiance as you say you would KNOW how to PROPERLY control heat output on your heat sources.WE DO NOT HAVE TO RESPECT YOU! RESPECT IS EARNED! So stop with the i think i am a bigshot attitude!

From what I gather of what you are trying to say, you don't want to be seen a a newbie?

Fine. Then introduce yourself, tell us more about yourself, tell us more about what you know and how long you've been doing this.

The perfect avenue for that is here:

    http://ball-pythons.net/forums/forum...oduce-Yourself!

After that is done, relax a bit.
Enjoy the scenery... Enjoy the people who post up their snakes.

No one is out to get you... It's about learning and growing and enjoying Ball Pythons.
Don't get defensive. Don't jump to conclusions. Don't treat people like you DON'T want to be treated.

Just take it for what it's worth, learn from it, and move on.

It makes life that much more satisfying.

    Hi,

Just one point I think might be worth making.

Most threads are read in isolation. By that I mean when we work through the boards and see a question we think we can help with we don't go look at everything posted by the thread starter to see if they are a new keeper or someone who has kept them for 40 years, we tend to just give the best answer we can at the time.

For a lot of us that includes putting in qualifiers and related information that turned out to be needed the times we answered similar questions before. This certainly can make it feel as though people are responding as though you were a "noob" when that was not their intent.

The way that helps me deal with it is to simply take the information and the intention to help, thank them for that, and try and disregard any subtext or assumptions that I do not feel apply to me. :)

When you next post a thread there is a better than average chance that the responders will not have read your posts in this thread explaining your level of experience or that you felt talked down to with some of the advice or questions.

It helps if you can keep that in mind when you respond I find.

As anyone who knows me will confirm my tounge is better suited to sandpaper than silk but since I know they are trying to help, when they really don't have to bother their backsides with me or my problems, I try and respond in kind.

Not always succesfully mind you - but I try.

And I didnt mean to critisize that girl for commenting like she did, but for god sakes she has one ball python and its a normal and she was acting like she knows more about it then I do. I had to explain to her that i am not as inexperienced as she believed me to be. LOL. BUt its those kind of people that might buy an expensive morph from me next year so you never know. Gotta give them a shout out. I remember when I got my first ball python. It was incredible. I babied her like she was a little puppy. Its a great feeling to be apart of something that only a few understand to be a passion. Hope everyone is doing well with there breeding this year!

How do you know that it's the only ball python I've ever had? Besides that, after saying that you have kept ball pythons for 15 years, you should know that the morph doesn't matter and that you should have a thermostat for your heating devices and that 100 degrees is too high.

I put a repyile rug underneath the pad and it was a hope that I didnt have to spend anymore money on it. Honostly I didnt mean anything by it except I wanted you to know that its not like I went out and bought a bp just last week. You were kinda rude about how you said it but i cant say much about being misunderstood on a forum. I know your intentions where good. And yes, morphs do matter when you are trying to breed them. Its a matter of makeing a few hundred or a few hundred thousand. Or at least we would hope. Owning a snake is different. My favorite snake evr was one of my old normals star. She was 16 years old and she had the best disposition of any snake I have evr owned. I am just happy that you could share a passion for snakes as I do.

Okay, you know what? I'm done with this. Hope all goes well for your breeding, and I hope that maybe you can get some respect on this site, if that's what you wanted.
