It's been a long road. Spent a few months studying for the ASVAB, and then went and talked to a recruiter, who scheduled me the next week to take the test. Scored pretty well - not what I wanted to get, but I qualified for the jobs I wanted. Mostly Cyber Warfare jobs. I'm the tech nerd here, so it makes sense that I get a job in computers, right?

Got a call a bout 3 weeks after going into MEPS with a job offer for Cyber Transport Systems apprentice. You do any research, you'll know you can't be picky for the Air Force. ANY job you can get, you're lucky. Did a little research on the job and it turns out it's right up my alley. It's mostly computer networking.

I'm hoping to cross train in a couple years into Cyber Warfare Operator - but who knows? I may end up liking this job so much I want to stay - Or I may end up hating the military lifestyle so much I bail. Just hafta see how things go :)

good luck at BMT ive been in for almost 7 years and its like any other job it has its ups and downs. Keep your head up at BMT. If you get a chance volunteer for KP duty. Learn the airmans creed before you leave it will keep the TIs of your back for a little bit lol.:salute:
