Best bet would be either a black milk or mexican black kingsnake, depending on what kind of adult size you're looking for. The black milks tend to be a little bit bigger than the kings from what I've seen. I'd also like to toss in that as for the nippiness, my mexican black king has yet to strike at anything that doesn't smell like rat. :gj:

That black milk is awesome. I think ill wait till the Tinly NARBC show to get something for him. In the mean time ill be teaching him all the pros n cons. He alreaady has a high interest with just my snakes. Who knows maybe he pic something else completly different.

Teach him everything you have, let him ask questions, and most of all give him the time to think and give him openings to think. Children are awesome but if you dont push them to think on their own they'll never grow into their full human potential.

    Good luck :gj:

Definitely Black Milksnake! What I would do for one. Get one as a baby so you can see the bands disappear. From what I've personally experienced, their pretty docile snakes too. Atleast all the ones I've had the pleasure of holding.

What I dont get is: Okay, snakes are taken from the wild to be kept as pets, so they ban ownership... Why not just ask owners to breed, hatch eggs, and then they can release the offspring.
