Re: Need help asap!
I haven't asked about the payments, but it's a big vet place in a small town. So I would assume they want payment day of, but I can ask them when I bring her in this thursday. I didn't even think of asking about that. lol. Thanks for bringing that up.
I did use newspaper back when she had mites, and I struggled so hard to keep up the humidity in her cage back then. At least with the repti-carpet I'm not struggling as hard. Should I switch to aspen or something? Cuz I hear that's easy to clean. I was trying to get my hands on the same stuff as the place I her from, but they never have any when I get there. ^^ Any other suggestions on what I could switch her to, beside newspaper and paper towels. I did the reptile bark, and that's how she got mites, so I will never use that again. How does everyone feel about the aspen? Will it help keep up the humidity? She's in a 20 gal glass tank with 3/4 of it covered.
I have already decided I want more snakes, they are so contagious like everyone says. lol I'm not gonna get any more like tomorrow, but in the future. And I will be switching to a rack system when that happens. Does anyone have any good sites to go to buy racks, or where I could to start looking at blue prints to build my own rack. As of right now, I'm only looking for a rack that will hold 5 tubs for adults. I've already decided upon flexwatt for the system, and that cheap thermostat on amazon. This is something that won't be happening until I move out of my parents house, I'm 19 and have actively been looking for a place of my own. I know I'm gonna have a hard time finding a place on account of the snake, but I won't give up. So anyways, sorry, I didn't mean to get off track. If anyone has any tips on what to tell future landlords, and any tips on a rack system will be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't even mention that I had a snake if I was looking for an apartment, but that is just me. Sometimes it is better to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission.
Plus, you could get creative and hide the snakes if you had to. I'm not sure what the law is for other states, but in MN a landlord has to give 24 hour notice before entering their rental property.
As far as a rack, there are a lot of DIY's on here, or if you want to buy one (might be a little more expensive) Reptile Basics and Boaphile are both great places to start. I have a six tub 32 qt rack from Boaphile -- his customer service sucks, and he takes a long time, but the rack is great!

That is horrible advise.
Moving into a place without asking their pet policy is just asking to be kicked out.
It cost alot to move into an apartment with fees and all, why would you risk getting kicked out to have to then look for another place to live?

It may not be the pc advice, but it's what most do.

Re: Need help asap!
I already decided I wanted to be honest about having my snake when I move in. At least the landlord would know I'm honest, and hopefully that will be able to develop some kind of trust bond between us. Rather then lying and either getting possible kicked out, or for some reason I still had the place, but had no trust with my landlord. Just the way I see it.

Re: Need help asap!
So here's the update after the vet visit. He didn't say anything bad, he gave her a shot as kind of an anti-biotic thing. He couldn't tell about the inner cap because her eyes are all blue and cloudy. She weighs 152 grams now. Also he says she's a little under weight so I'm putting her on a 5 day feeding schedule now. He also gave me better cream to put on her eye. He wants her back for another shot monday, so I set the time up. Would you say it would be okay to still feed her tuesday (which would be her 5 days), or should I just want till thursday and go from there for every 5 days? Any advice would me nice, and she's doing awesome. Swelling went down a lot from the day I got her, and she seems alert like normal.

Hey, I was wondering if we can get some updated photos? Just to see the visual signs of improvement

You can try feeding, but don't be suprised if she doesn't eat until she is off the antibiotics. Hopefully she will convert to F/T easily, but you should be prepared for a little tough love because some don't easily convert. Good Luck :gj:...

Re: Need help asap!
Sure thing. I'll post an update photo a little later on today.
And okay. Now if I thaw the mouse and she doesn't eat it, would it be okay to re-freeze it once again. Then throw it after after the second thaw is not eaten? Because I was told by the lady I got her it would be okay to freeze it again if she didn't eat it.
