Awww, poor thing. :( But aside from the head scarring, she does appear robust and healthy (weight-wise)... so I bet she'll pull through for you just fine! Good job in rescuing her, and I look forward to seeing her positive updates. :gj:

such a shame she looks liek a pretty think and all. I caught wild snakeswith only one eye and they get pretty toutchy on he blnd side so just way yourself a little. I let the parent know of the vet visit and to inform her son that if he took proper care of it the snake would be happy and in great shape.

I got to work on building me a secondary bank account so Ica nhave a snake fund for stuff. ( add that too a list of 40 things I need to do just this week.)

A vet won't be able to do anything for her. The only way snakes can heel themselves is by shedding their skins. The old damaged skin comes off and is replaced by newer/healed skin. After a few sheds she'll have a couple scars but for the most part you won't be able to tell. In the mean time take some polysporin gel and rub it on the sore spots a couple times a day. You'll be amazed what she'll look like after her next shed.

Keep her warm for the RI infection (100F hot spot). I suspect she is making a popping sound not because she has an RI but because her nostrils are plugged. But, to be sure bump her temps and keep an eye on her after she sheds to see if she is still making the popping noise.

Also, keep her dry for the scale rot. The scale rot won't go away until she sheds. Put polysporin gel on it a few times a day and it'll be gone the next time she sheds.

    Good luck,
    Corey
