Re: This is just stupid
You people beating your selves to death on the trees while looking for the forest are quite something to watch.

While it may be true that the parents had a choice on where to send their kid (more than likely not most schools are "assigned"), it's also true that just because a rule was explained to them in the beginning, it does not follow that they MUST obey said rule.
People will follow rules until they "wake up" and find those rules interferring with their personal liberties.....
If a law banning the 9 is passed, how many people also give up their snakes obeying such a "rule?"
There can be rules in place, and we can follow them until we find them intolerable and then it's up to us and purely our option to continue following those rules or not (regardless of whether we knew of the rule in the beginning, we can always affect change).

Another stalker.....
How many points do you have now?
I wonder if they laugh more at you or with you?
Your attempt at what I assume is humor seems somewhat lacking in depth. Not that I expect anything particularly deep from you, it's just that I'm sort of surprised. Not only is this the best you can do but you seem satisfied with it. I certainly wouldn't be, but then we have vastly different standards for what we're satisfied with.
Heh.

Just to clarify, I'm in MN now but I grew up in the south (Texas and Louisiana). MN has pretty relaxed dress codes, and yes there are plenty of places in the country where long hair on boys, especially younger ones, is in fact very very common.
It was the places I grew up in where boys with long hair would often get "looks", and parents would often have to hear people questioning why they let their boy have long hair. That's just part of the culture there. And yes, before anyone needs to say it, it is because sexism and homophobia are part of the culture as well.
I like it better here.

ahhhhhhhhhh....hmmmmmm.....No beating a tree here. I just think if we all just accepted issues and never diagreed or never stood up for what we think is right then there goes a free country!

That only works in fairy tales. Some rules are in place for a reason.
A Muslim woman in FL wanted to have her picture taken with her Niqaab on, covering her face. That seems smart.
Gotta draw the line somewhere.
Welcome to the real world.
