People claim Nostradomous predicted all kinds of events, too, but most of his 'prophecies' are vague and can be applied to anything, have been skewed to fit, or just made up completely by people urging on the hype. A lot of people want to believe in things like that - I'm not sure why, I don't really like the idea of the world ending.

I find that while high school kids in my area don't necessarily believe the world will end in 2012, they do believe the American Dream has died. Hence the extended stay with mom and dad.

Chances are, I'll get lots of money, and even if the world does end, no one cares about money anyway!
