It would be the only thing familar to her at the scene. Has the car been thoroughly checked over to make sure she's not hiding inside it somewhere?
The day of the accident I went to moms car, I had to get some items out of it, so either she ran back to the car and hopped out on the way or after they parked it at the garage I have no clue? But trust me I have thought of that. if she hopped out after it was parked, then shes lost in the main part of town, if thats the case she probably would of been found/sighted by now. I have missing dog signs in town too and my cousin handed out little flyers with all the info on it to people at the grocery store. Or if she fell/jumped out on the way, theres even MORE woods but again theres flyers all along the road and a few houses down the main road. But if I go back looking again tomorrow, I will check the car again but I ripped thru the car ad debris and my mom was looking as much as she could (shes in a lot of pain) but we didnt see her. Oh also, I asked a woman who lived right next to where the crash happened, she said it was basically towed as soon as mom was taken out of it. But again we never know?

Just keep look and praying. You'll find her. No matter what anyones faith on here is, everyone should tell you and theirselves that she will be found.
She probably is scared. She'll come. Just dont give up!
Im doing all I can but my pockets for gas money is running very low, every night when I come home I'm so downhearted & discouraged but when I wake up, I always feel confident thinking today will be the day we find her! But we've yet to find her. No one has even seen her yet.
As for Mom being there, she was there after they released her from the ER until nightfall and then the next day until around 5pm but she hasnt went back since. My mother has given up. When I do call her I do try to word it like my mom would, "come on Leslie, lets go. wanna go? Lets go Leslie" and like I said my mother lives right next door, (least I think Ive said it on here, ive talked to sooo many people) Ive been around Leslie since she was brought home at 8 or 9 weeks old. So Leslie being missing is hitting me pretty hard.
So yeah today I spoke with a woman with the transcript she is posting an article about my moms missing yorkie, hopefully it will be in tomorrows paper.
I borrowed a little grill and brought old burger patties that shoulda been thrown out a while ago (freezer burned), but I figured maybe the smell of them grilling would attract Leslie to us, my aunt sat there w/ the grill and I took BOTH my dogs (Apollo & Brooklyn) thru the woods one way, while others went another way. But no luck. We've looked high and low and everything the psychic told us, coulda fit EVERY place around there.. She saw water/streams/ponds/ red barn or red shack. Horses & deer, ok that again is everywhere! said she deff was alive then when asked again "i believe so" but then said Leslie was playing in a field and saw birds. She said to me she had NO food but had water but told my cousin she has eaten a few bugs. Well no food or a few bugs isnt going to give her enough energy for her to play!!
I think its a waste of time but its all we had to go on. Oh then the woman said she saw a long drive way, well talk about a slap in the face, I went up a long driveway only for a black lab to jump on my car, the homeowner got mad at threw his arms up in the air and and said "well you're on private property" he didnt even say sorry. I busted out crying after, frustrated with not being able to find my moms poor dog, hurt over her missing and wondering whats happened to her, spending all our money on this search and then the only thing i own (my 2005 not even paid off trailblazer) has nice scratches down the drivers side door and not even a sorry!!
I dont know what to do now.. 2 people have suggested those safe have-a-heart traps but we dont have any and no money to buy them. Our luck we'd catch a skunk and get sprayed trying to let it loose..
Ive always said if I didnt have bad luck Id have no luck at all.. i'm feeling so down right now :(

Re: We need another miracle & your prayers!!!
Sorry about your situation.
The negative thoughts that permeate your last post will not bring the result you desire. Also this isn't about you being everywhere all at once, it's about posting the ads & stuff, then doing regular follow up. The dog is likely still alive & may even have been collected by someone. So take a deep breath, post the ads & follow up with calls. Hang in there!

You're right... I do get very discouraged each night.. Mad at myself too.. I try so hard to stay positive but at times I guess I cant..
I just want to be able to bring Leslie home to my mom and I feel like Im letting her down by not yet finding her. I love that little dog as much as I do my own, its killing me inside..

Re: We need another miracle & your prayers!!!
WOW, I am SO sorry. I would be out helping with the search if I lived out there. I know how important the family dog can be. We love ours a TON here. We even have crib matresses scatered around the house so she has a comfotable place to sleep. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and most of all the pooch.
Good luck!

Re: We need another miracle & your prayers!!!
Glad to hear that your mother is ok, and I hope you're able to find Leslie.
A tip I've heard when a dog goes missing is to include two things on the LOST DOG flyers - first, that there is a cash reward (don't specify how much though), and second, that the dog needs medication. Some people will take dogs, especially small dogs, even if they know they are lost and belong to someone else. But if they think that the dog is going to cost them a lot of money in vet bills or will be sick without its medication, they are more likely to give the dog back. I have this information on all of my dogs' tags as well ("needs medication - reward if found").
Be sure to post ads on as many sites online as possible. Off the top of my head there's Craigslist, Petfinder.com (they have a free section for Lost/Found ads), fidofinder.com, amberpetalert.com, lostdogdatabase.com, missingpets.com - just do a google search. Also contact the local shelters and rescue groups in your area - some of them might also have websites with a lost/found section that you can post on. Make sure to take flyers to all the local pet stores, groomers, and vet clinics as well as the shelters, and of course any non-pet related places that you can post them too (supermarkets, gas stations, churches, community centers, etc).
My and my ex-husband's dog was missing for two weeks once but I was able to find him. Don't give up hope!
