Re: So...
Yeah I got thermostat, but not with a probe.
So.. I'm looking on Reptile Basics Inc... and looking at the rack system, it says it already comes with heat, could I add to it if it's not like enough, and would my baby be able to escape. Because what I'll do is save up and get this set-up, since I guess I could still use the retro bark and decorate it accordingly and be able to have room for two more when the time comes! Since I'm looking for 'em for after christmas <3.

Re: So...
It just a thermostat, the regulates the whole tank temp. I know, not the greatest, which is why I'm really trying to get everything situated now and learn so when christmas comes... well I am going to be a happy camper, since I'm getting another Ball Python.... after christmas, yay!

Re: So...
OR get any other thermostat that fits your budget. Ranco, Johnson, BAH Herp Power, etc. Dont think that a herpstat is the only way to go with thermostats. That sort of info makes people not buy them sometimes. If you tell someone that their only option is a 110 dollar herpstat and its not in their budget, guess what? That snake isnt getting a thermostat anytime soon.
Vesta:
Tubs are going to be cheaper to keep, but if a tank is your preferred method then go with that. BPs arent really display animals so a lot of us keep them in tubs as that is the easier and cheaper way to do it. If you prefer to have a nice display, by all means do that. There are a lot of threads on here that deal with proper tank set up, and once you have it set up properly, it is just as easy to maintain as a tub...with the exception of cleaning.
