Niiiice!!
Het Ivory/het pied breeding?
-
Re: I was hoping to get Ivories, but for sure, not these ?
Dat's an _awesome_ animal, Simon!
Broadude - no pied involved, as it doesn't have any _pure_ white spots (see the ivory dorsal striping?) or a piebald's aberrant pattern. Could be a "paradox ivory", or could be something entirely new. Gotta be the coolest snake I've seen this season so far!

Re: I was hoping to get Ivories, but for sure, not these ?
Stunning!!! The pictures were well worth the wait!! Thanks Simon.
Gorgeous snake there!:gj:
-
Re: I was hoping to get Ivories, but for sure, not these ?
The pattern is somewhat intact where it shows up so there is no pied. It's an ivory who forgot in a few places:confused:
-
Re: I was hoping to get Ivories, but for sure, not these ?
That is amazing Simon, love the clean ivory stripe with that pattern.
You really hit something there. Congrats.

Re: I was hoping to get Ivories, but for sure, not these ?

I noted the stripe..thats where the YB (Het Ivory) guess came from...the patterning is weird... but now that you mentioned it..it does differ from the Pied.
Thanks! Correction noted.

Re: I was hoping to get Ivories, but for sure, not these ?
wow !!! i just seen this thread. that is one SMOKING BP !!! amazing to look at !!! Congrats.... cant wait to see it grown !
-
Re: I was hoping to get Ivories, but for sure, not these ?
I just want to guess....Yellow Belly Piebald and the white on the piebald lets the ivory trait show through. well that is my guess.
-
Re: I was hoping to get Ivories, but for sure, not these ?
That is utterly amazing! It doesn't seem to follow most of the usual aberrant "paradox" patterning and does look more like a pied's patterning....but without the typical pied look. I WONDER if this could possibly be a new Ivory-Pied gene? How I would love to have a snake like that to try and prove out! Not to mention just to sit and look at all the time...what a little beauty!!
-
Re: I was hoping to get Ivories, but for sure, not these ?
That is truely unique! That would be amazing if it is a new ivory-pied gene like Judy suggested. Keep us posted!
-
Re: I was hoping to get Ivories, but for sure, not these ?
What a beauty Simon! Not only you get this wacko paradox, but it looks like you had a few other ivories in there too... great clutch! Must of been Ivory male to het-ivory female I bet?
Anyways, congrats on an awesome clutch :)
Bristen.

Re: I was hoping to get Ivories, but for sure, not these ?

-
Re: I was hoping to get Ivories, but for sure, not these ?
Amazing snakes!!! :gj::gj:
-
Re: I was hoping to get Ivories, but for sure, not these ?
I donno about you, but I would hold it back and see if that's genetic. With the popularity of Pieds, this could be something new that will be awesome!
Fantastic Paradox!

Re: I was hoping to get Ivories, but for sure, not these ?
this snake looks very similar to what you hatched so i thought id show ya. its at the very bottom of the page

Re: I was hoping to get Ivories, but for sure, not these ?
Simon, congratulations! That's a stunning clutch even without the paradox Ivory in it but even more so with that special little one. Please keep us updated on this snake as it matures. It's going to be one gorgeous adult I bet.

Re: I was hoping to get Ivories, but for sure, not these ?
that is a gorgeous snake!!
question (cause i dont know much about morphs) what is the difference between a pied and a paradox?
thanks sorry im dumb about this stuff.
-
Re: I was hoping to get Ivories, but for sure, not these ?
That is an amazing looking animal! I love the little yellow stripe down the spine between the normal patches. You can definately tell it is not a pied.

Pied is a recessive trait, while a paradox is a "leaky gene" as in the paradox albino.

Re: I was hoping to get Ivories, but for sure, not these ?
That is one beautiful ball. I LOVE the yellow stripe down his back. Think you can get another one next year????

Holy zombie resurrection! Though that snake is a beaut. I wonder if there are any clutches from it yet?
-
I was hoping to get Ivories, but for sure, not these ?
Read the date of a thread before you comment on it. Gaaaaa

Nice zombie threading, Carly lol
I think it was a random paradox. I want to see what it looks like as an adult!

NOTHING wrong with resurrection!!! ESPECIALLY of something like this, that DESERVES some follow-up!!!! Think I'm gonna contact him and see if he's still got the "baby" (maybe it was sold?) and what it looks like as an adult. SMOKIN'!

Look before my post I didnt resurrect it, some new person posted before the crap I quoted idk why people think I did its annoying the crap out of me. Im well aware to check dates that's why I was saying its been 4.5 years. Telling them they brought a old post to life.

Sweety didn't say that you resurrected it, she simply said there was nothing wrong with it having been done. She quoted you because YOU seemed to be critical of the fact that it was resurrected, not because she thought you were the first to bring it up again.
It's such a minor issue, both the resurrection of an old thread, AND quotes perhaps being misinterpreted. If this is the worst thing that happens to any of us today, I think we should be thankful for having had such a marvelous day. ;)

Did anyone ever get in contact with the breeder to find out what it looks like as an adult, or if it produced any offspring? I'm glad this was resurected, it was an outstanding read and that snake is absolutly amazing. Easily one of the nicest looking snakes I've seen.
