Notes: Not a single female Cinny! :( This clutch is one of the VERY few co-dom clutches I'll have this year, nice to see the morph-to-normal ratio come out so well.

It's an overall look, but mostly what people refer to is a black bordered clear belly, particularly in the last 1/3 of the body.

Thank you Brock... It looks like with my clutch distribution I'm barely going to avoid needing a 2nd incubator... whew! :) Of course needing another incubator is a good problem to have. ;)

    08_clutch#007 - Hatched! - Piebald X Normal - 7 eggs

    =

    4.3 Het Pieds

Notes: Mom was this beautiful ch "apricot" girl and all these hets definitely are a cut above with great color! The first 4 babies out of the eggs were boys and I was starting to sweat it! The girls were just being shy though... :)

    http://www.jkobylkareptiles.com/Imag...lutch_07_h.jpg

Additional Notes: The first baby out is this awesome ringer boy. Its the best ringer I've yet to hatch. Just a little something extra. :) He really wants to be a piebald!

Additional, Additional Notes: As part of the continuing sharing of information regarding het pied marker traits, here is a picture of all seven bellies from this clutch:

I don't think so Pat, because it doesn't have an aberrant pattern, the rest of it is just normal lookin. I could be wrong though.

Re: Official JKR 2008 clutch thread
I think it's just heterozygous for pied. Meaning only one allele is of that particular gene. We think in terms of recessive and codominant. The pied gene seems to be a little of both. It's het form shows a distinct phenotype but not always. Such an interesting gene...

    NO. It's a het not a homozygous pied. It's called a ringer not a pied for a reason. :)
