Besides Snakes...what's your favorite Herp?

I would like to get a large lizard or monitor in the future, but also on my "wish list" is a crested gecko, bearded dragon, and a pacman frog!
I'm a huge fan of tortoises, too, but I don't know if I'll ever get one.

I want a tortoise, my sister wants a turtle. Might actually get her one, we have some cute Mississippi Maps in the store I work at.

I also want some dart frogs, a beardie, maybe one day a monitor... A girl can dream.

Monitors all the way, the bigger the better. Im still trying to decide if i like monitors more then snakes, until i actually get a monitor i cant really decide.

I really want a savannah monitor one day. But, the wife says it gets too big do she won't let me have one haha.

Favorite herp is a tricky one! My beardie was my intro into the world so I am very partial. I have another strong soft spot for White's tree frog (never owned a red eyed but I love them enough to have then tattooed on me). However my favs may be large lizards, currently in that department I only have a tegu, in a perfect world, I would have an alligator and a komodo.

i love savannah moniter. they are soooo freakin cute from birth to adults just like ball pythons. how ever if i am ever rich my fave lizard over a sav is a komodo drago and i would love to own one. but for now ill stick with its smaller counter part the sav...

I'd like a salamander at some point, as well as a Gila monster. Probably lean more towards the Gila, just with being able to carefully! handle it, as opposed to the salamander being more of a display only animal.

Alligators/crocodiles, for sure. Obviously I'd never own one, but they're like a mix of dinosaurs and dragons! :P Can't hate on 65 million years of almost no evolution and they're STILL top predators. Komodo Dragons are pretty freaking awesome too. :)

BEARDIES!!! :-) They are the sweetest little guys on the planet!

Dwarf monitors, Cresties, Leechies and Gargoyles, and yes the micro-torts are just way too cool.
If I had nothing but time and money my list would be much larger.
And of course Draco Volans and related species. If they are ever feasible to keep and provide a long healthy life for that is an absolute must have.

I personally like creatures that grows huge compared to those we find in the house.. they just have that majestic vibe.... tarantulas, tortoises, iguanas, crocs, pythons, and for dog I'd stick with my rottweiler.
