You keep voicing your opinion over and over and over and over again, responding to various posts, ignoring points brought up to you, and repeating the same thing. Your inability to think outside of your own point of view has kept this thread going in circles.
I have a question for you. At what point do YOU think is a fair price for spiders that everyone should pay? $500? $5? I'll go out on a limb and say that it just seems like you have an agenda that would like to see ball morphs as cheap as, say, corn snake morphs. Please pardon my comment if I'm wrong.

You shouldn't Adam, I didn't type your name as my answer for your question I was just saying that a few members had mentioned those prices...It was a reply not an attack...I'm sorry you took it that way...
To everyone else...This was not meant in anyway toward Adam, as the dictatorship comment lies with those wanting to pressure those hobbyist breeders into selling higher to meet the BIG breeders. I don't see too many little guys complaining or attacking anyone for paying too much or buying from breeders X,Y, Z, but God forbid you buy from some unknown for $500 less than X, Y, Z and a 5 post thread turns into a 100 page battle.
If Adam took this personally, that's his problem. Don't worry, I won't post any more on this thread to avoid any further flare ups or feeling hurt.

Thanks! For the record - I did not break my camera!:( It died. I lurved my camera - unfortunately, I've since read that at the 2 year mark, my make and model was notorious for getting error messages and lock up of the lens <sniffle>
Another week and a half and I should have my new camera!! You'll be in trouble then!

Not everyone will always agree with Adam but I am glad that he shares his experience and knowledge regardless of where I stand on the topic. Morp pricing is not cut and dry! My wife was freaking out in Daytona when she saw the drop in morphs that I paid more for the year before. I don't let it bother me. It is what it is! I love my snakes and enjoy them much more than my contracting business which supports my family. If you do it because you love them you shouldn't freak at price fluctuations. Supply and demand controls everything! Have you seen energy costs lately, real estate? Welcome to the real world! :sabduel:

just joking here folks. i want to chime in, although i'm only 1/2 done reading this thread... that personally i want to have some prime stock to start my breeding experience... PRIMO - so i will only ever deal with people who guarantee that kind of stock and have the years behind them to prove it. hence... why we went with adam on our 2 100% het pied pair and our 2 pastels... we don't care how much we pay, we care about the quality of what we are getting! the price... well it's simply the price you pay for quality. if i wanted a 'knock off' i would have gone with someone else ;)

Aleesha, I really hope you didn't mean it that way but the last line makes it sound as if paying less makes one's animals poor quality.
I have my eye on a spider from EBN. They have them for less then Adam (don't worry adam, just using your pricing as an example). Does that mean that if I go through with the purchase then my animal would be less then quality because I saved a few hundred?
No, it certainly shouldn't.
I do believe and I do hope that I am mistaken in the way I took your post but I just wanted to clarify it.

As far as my prices, I have spiders available at a lot of different price levels and can make a spider affordable for anyone that wants one ... no worries there! :D

no not at all. i was thinking more of my own experience... buying from someone who wasn't a big breeder and getting screwed in the deal. that deal taught me an important lesson... that doing my homework, getting to know who the breeder is and making sure that the stock i want to breed with is top notch (and in my eyes, top notch is going with the bigger name breeders).

another reason why i chose to go with adam. i see him supporting the smaller breeders who he believes in on this site... and i hope, that after a few years of breeding our own snakes that he'll feel that way about us (my hubby and i) too.

Who knows what motivates them. Loneliness? A lack of peers in real life to share their herping experience with? The internet does do much to connect us all but in the end, for me, if you get enough enjoyment out of sharing personal financial details to strangers via text on a public forum, one might need to, frankly, get a real life.

Happens everywhere...any time you have a forum filled with people who are passionate about something, miscommunications and differences of opinion will cause flare-ups...

How did I miss this thread? I don't think there was any miscommunication here. Just one person with an agenda and a point to make (or beat into the ground). Buy from whoever you want, big or small. Just make sure you do your research and get it right so you don't regret it down the line.
As far as the apple pie, I would go to town on that thing. (and not in the American Pie way) ;)
