Justin, you can become certified by filling out information on the internet. But becoming an LLC is not cheap.

I just went to this site:
http://www.mycorporation.com/llcnow.htm
and put in Texas (where you are from) and it's going to cost you almost $500 to become an LLC.

My advice...Use caution, write up a business plan, and put some serious thought into what you are doing.

Justin, how much actual effort have you put into this? Besides the logo, which you have someone else working on, what steps have YOU actually done? Why not take the initiative and do some of the work yourself, instead of waiting for everyone else to hand you the information. Go to the library or pull up info on the internet. You could start working right now... go research....take notes.... then come back when you have a more educated idea of what you want to do and what you need specific help with.

I've put alot of effort in. I have done research, and I still am. I am going to start working on the site once I have my layout set. The reason I am not making my own logo is because I don't have photoshop yet.

In all seriousness, good luck Justin. I am at the point now where I have thought about some company names and logos, but I know there's going to be a lot more to think about than that. More than a website as well. It's probably a good idea to take some business classes at least before trying to start one. Talk to some people who run their own businesses, find as much info as you can.

Goals are good to have, though, and ambition can also be. Keep up the hard work and dedication...

perhaps working towards the dream of doing that when you are an adult would be better since, in all honesty, most adults won't purchase a morph from a kid... we have enough adults ripping us off without adding an underage child to the mix.

It cost my boyfriend Mark about $400 to get his LLC for his company, PMS (Property Management Srvcs, LLC.)
I am not sure of the laws regarding the need to incorporate yourself, etc. when selling herps; I'd think they very state by state and maybe depend on how many animals you produce/sell per year.. It could be related to the amount of animals you produce; like, how if you sell more than 7 cars a year, you need to get a dealer's license, etc. Just don't leave yourself open for tax fraud possibilities.. yikes.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Put it on paper.

Stick to it.

Thanks Aleesha! They(customers) will not be directly buying from me. My parents are the ones who will do the actual money handling and snake selling part(kinda). Hint hint Vail reptiles. It could be Justin Vail reptiles. I will take care of the snakes, breed them, etc, they will do the buisness part.
