Re: The time has come ...
Yeah I thought about getting a hatchling as apposed to a older one, think would be interesting to see how they develop and grow and try a different side of this all, like autumn time... Or late summer for my birthday 😁 yeah defo need to do so much more research and reading up before I get a real baby noodle lol

Re: The time has come ...
So tonight was feeding night, cleared all his substrate to one side and layed a piece of cardboard for him to eat the rat without getting any subs in the way... poor clyde got a little over exited and litrally strikes from the other end of the viv... Gets in a pickle and starts to eat it from the tail up... Needless to say it's taken him nearly 20 minutes to eat it and ended up with it bent in half legs akimbo dragging it all over the place to push it in his mouth.... My God. Their skin can realllllyyyyyy stretch. That was more than interesting to watch although I worries about him choking on it he has now gone half back to normal and scurried off to his warm hide... What a night!!!

I've heard of young snakes doing this before oddly enough . No harm done :)
Re: The time has come ...
Thank God for that lol I thought all was OK then read too much online about it and people scared me saying how it tears their esophagus and can hurt them and all, I panicked then but I opened a new thread about it and everyone on there said it's ok and could be cause he is young or even maybe his rat wasn't big enough .. I have never seen clyde move like it... Insane noodle baby lol

Fourth successful feed in a row, going to weigh him next week see how much progress we have had now with him eating nicely and regularly, I posted about this in the week but curious if you guys have any ideas, this whole week he has suddenly fallen out of love with his hide? He pushes it aside and gets between it and the wood? Every evening when he's out and about I move it back and every morning he's back behind it... Why doesn't he like his hide anymore :( he used to love nothing more than a snuggle in there tucked away and now he never goes in anymore, what have I done wrong? Hope you are all good and noodle babys :)

More than likely nothing at all to worry about .
Snakes are sometimes unpredictable - simple as .
It may be worth just testing the temps under the hide in case they're a tad too high !?
Re: The time has come ...
Yeah I check them inside the hide a few times a week but generally sits around the 90 mark hope it is just him being silly, don't want to be having one step forward two steps back :( thanks though for your help think I can rest a bit easier now lol
