He's a beast of a tight end too that's gonna hurt them a bit. So they went for a two point conversion even tho they already had 57 points? Sorry just reread that my mistake makes sense now and that's too bad he's hurt

Fluke injury. That sucks.
Good thing i dont have him on my fantasy team, but DO have hernandez. Time for aaron to step it up and earn daddy some points next week. ;)

My question is why is your starting tight end out there blocking on an extra point at the end of the game when your up by 35.

Your guess is as good as mine lmao. I thought that spot was reserved for 5th string waterboy, part time off. tackle!

Haha I wonder what that position pays I'm sure I can be that

Dallas didn't deserve the win today. The Browns clearly earned it. 80 yards TOTAL offense in the first HALF. Just despicable.
That sucks about gron, isn't that like unsportsmanlike conduct putting your first string for a 2 point attempt when you're up by a killing? I guess karma got the better of the pats, sucks gron was the recipient.

It was a normal field goal I had miss read the post before hand. I'm easily distracted haha still no need for him to be in for a pat when up that much.

True enough, pull him and through the EQ manager in or something.

Typically I would be in on a football thread, but I'm from KC so I'll just sit in this corner with a bag on my head until next season...:o

Its his job to be in to block on that play. Just bc youre up by alot doesnt mean you should let off the gas pedal. It was a fluke injury imo.

He will be back in a month or so. He's always in those plays, it could have happened at any point it happens. Lol but as Brady said "it sucks".

A while back started getting busy with work and the wife and kids and wasn't posting as much, but was planning on coming back until my son decided to smash my iPad. But I picked up a new one tonight so here I am. :)

Hahaha yeah it's not one of the perks of having kids. He dropped the laptop as well, that being said I bought all the insurance I could on this new iPad.

I can brag a little though, its not pro but my alma matter (high school) is going to state tomorrow! I think I'm going to drive out to STL with my dad to see them play!

All football is good football. My high school team has never gone to state haha but it was fun playing. A state game would be fun to go to once tho some of those kids are pretty good for being high schoolers

Can't wait to see the Cowboys choke against the redskins in an hour. Lol.

So how were today's first games? I missed them cuz I was driving and my family doesn't watch it so what everyone think? I got the pats and jets on now.
-
They were nothing compared to the second quarter of the Pats game.
-
Ya 35-5 now cuz of this safety jeez the pats are stomping the jets and the fans are going nuts over getting up to 5 points lol
-
DVR bro, still 35 to 3 for me. I really hate commercials.
Try to find a way to watch the Lion overtime period, wacky stuff man.
-
No need for the pats to be letting off the gas, they need to get back out there and score again!
-
Haha sorry bout that. And mike I was wondering when you'd come tell us about the pats haha their having a good game. Tapa talk is posting everything I put on here on twitter how do I make it stop!!? I hate twitter
-
Chop Block for two. wow that crowd went wild over two points.
Mike, I am of the opinion that the Pats can never score too much. It's not cruelty, it's intensity.
-
It's not a good day to be a jets fan. Think the pats will break 60?
-
-
Pats scored 35pts in the second qrtr with about 2min time of possesion. Thats sick.
Wilfork has been one of my favorite players for awhile. The guy slimmed down and now hes just an absolute beast.

...3 TDs in 52 seconds!!! My folks made the trip to GA for the holiday and my dad and I were just sort of staring at the TV in disbelief. It was AWESOME! By the way, has anyone ever seen an NFL offensive lineman's bum cause a fumble that leads to a touchdown:confusd::D.
I think the Pats have scored 108 points in the last 2 games...yikes...
...and Vince Wilfork will end up being remembered as the best defensive tackle in Patriots history...

Re: Football!
I know that if I was a Texans fan or player I'd be a little embarrassed of winning a game with a phantom touchdown. Ok, sure, Schwartz should have not threw the flag, but c'mon man...penalize the Lions TWICE with 15 yards AND the apparition touchdown??? The NFL and its refs are more crooked than politicians, anymore. Good thing they have the so-called "Suh stomp II" to distract peoples attention from this. Boomer, you're an idiot!!!!!

Re: Football!
The Official NFL Rule Book does NOT support the ruling made by the officials in the HOU-DET game that an improper Coaches' Challenge makes any further review impossible. Within the section of the rules spelling out the use of Instant Replay Reviews, the Coaches' Challenge Review and the Replay Official’s Request for Review are in separate paragraphs. These paragraphs do not cross reference in ANY way that would suggest that the 15 yard penalty for improper review by Coaches' Challenge includes elimination of the Replay Official's Request for Review that is required of all scoring plays. Thankfully, the rule is not as idiotic as today's game suggests. but may need additional language to avoid incredibly poor applications of the rules as happened today. The Officials blew it.
I hope someone with access to the NFL reads these notes and then carefully reviews the Rule Book. The rules as written do NOT support what the officials did today when claiming a scoring play review could not be conducted simply because the Coach improperly challenged.
Based on the Rules, It would have been a Scoring Playing review, showing the HOU runner to be down where he was tackled, and over-ruling the TD, followed by a 15-yard penalty from the new line of scrimmage for the improper challenge by Schwartz.
Here is the relevant section: http://static.nfl.com/static/content/public/image/rulebook/pdfs/18_2012_Officials_Jurisdictions_and_Duties.pdf.

The suh thing I don't see what the problem was I've only seen it a couple times but it didn't look to me he tried to kick him just let his legs go an that's where they ended, but I could have seen it wrong. An the tackled yet still getting a touch down just gotta shake the head and hope that the rules get fixed, there's too many rules.

I'd be proud if i was Kubiak or any of the other coaches. From the first day of practice when you step onto that field it's drilled into your head that you keep playing until you hear the whistle. He played until he heard the whistle. Similar thing happened in that ravens-steelers game when someone caused a fumble but all the players thought it was an incomplete pass so they stopped. Until you hear that whistle your sole job is to get to that ball. Suggs had to come running across the field yelling at them to pickup the damn ball. Thats a veteran who plays until he hears the whistle.

That was exactly my point, NO whistle. Anything to let the NFL pet teams win, I guess. You'll be hard pressed to see your precious Pats get bogus calls, right??! Right.

Not a call like that, that call is right up there with the Seahawks and packers game earlier this year.

Haha the epic fail of the replacement refs. And the dam Vikings did terrible today I'm not to thrilled about that
