I can understand not wanting to mess with them though, most people dislike spiders even more than they dislike snakes.
One last thought, have you ever sat down in the middle of the room and just asked him out loud to come home ? I know people swear they can't hear us or understand us, but sometimes I wonder. It couldn't hurt anyway.

EEEEEEK!
I don't mind spiders...I do mind if they try to run up my arm, though...LOL
I have lots of them living in the house and they do a good job of flycatching.
I save them when they fall in the sink and dry them off and set them back on the window sill but the Cellar Spiders can just stay down here and I'll stay up here.
:)
I have called him, begged him, cried to him, mentally focused and tried to communicate with him to the point where I feel like a lunatic who sits in dark rooms and talks to herself.
Either he's not "listening" or he's somewhere he can't get out.
I know they "hear" me.
Sometimes I'll feed them on a different day and when I go out to the shop freezer to get their rodents, everybody's up and rambling around, sniffing in expectation when I come back in.
I know bloody well they can't smell frozen varmints in sealed bags so I have no other way to explain it.
They just know I went out for their food.
Alice is not a very biddable guy.
He's always had his "own thing" going on.

Just so you know, I'm going to check this thread regularly, and no one but you will celebrate harder than me when you post he's come home.

Thank you, Gale.
Feel free to mercilessly shame and castigate him for the torment he's causing me.
Mentally slap him silly, if you want.

I'm with Gale on this one! I have been keeping up with this post every time i come home and let me tell you I would be having a massive brain hemorrhage from all my worrying if it was Perry. Sending lots of "Go home silly boy your momma misses you!" vibes Alice's way. I cannot offer any tips because I've never lost Perry, but i can send you good, comforting vibes and many many prayers. Good luck girl!

Re: The most hopeless escape case *ever*
I lost my pastel and her 5 newly hatched mojo/pastel babies. The first baby I found was in the rack, the momma I found behind the rack. About a week went by and I found two more babies and about a week later we found the last baby in the middle of the hall on a midnight trip to the potty.
I couldn't find any of them right away. I tore holes in walls, I turned the house upside down, I recruited family, and we looked everywhere. I didn't find the two by the rack until the next day. I looked there but I was distraught and distracted and didn't do a thorough job. The other babies showed up in their own time. They will be found when they are ready to be found, just don't be so upset you over look them when they do show up. It is heart breaking to lose an animal all you can do is keep hope and try not to let it consume you. I'll be keeping up with this thread and hope he shows up.
