are there any animals you dont like or are fearful of?

I really, really hate primates . (Humans are okay sometimes.)
I don't care much for cats either.

I have an irrational fear of flies or gnats going into my ears or up my nose. I just put in earbuds if I hear one buzzing around.
And I am scared around elephant seals. I think that's called for though.

And I really hate intestinal parasites and all that good stuff. Been there, NOT fun. That's my real fear. It's the only animal fear that can actually make me hyperventilate and get light-headed.

I would like to add ignorant people to my list. I wonder how I'm the same species sometimes.

I'm not a big fan of anything that sucks my blood: mosquitos, leeches, vampires, etc.

Roaches. Ew.

I adore parrots, but still don't fully understand them, and definitley couldn't handle having one as a pet..Only if i was like, retired and had all the time and energy for it (they require ALOT of that). Gerbils, hamsters, mice....any gross shivering semi brainless rodent. Love rats though! Can hardly stand yorkies and chihuahuas too. {no offence, I'm glad you like them.} Also if someone kills a bug around me and I hear it being crushed, I'll freak out. And humans. EEch.

Spiders :(
Bigger dogs
Frogs :/

I'm actually really terrified of bed bugs. We had a really bad outbreak of them when I was younger and I just can't seem to shake it. I can't lay in any strangers bed, no matter how comfy or clean it looks. Ha

Silverfish and earwigs. No other bugs gross me out like they do. I also have a personal vendetta against pill bugs, but since I feel bad actually killing them, I just throw them in the street when I find them (darned things killed off my favorite chicks-and-hens plant when I was a kid).

This guy isn't a fan of bugs. Only afraid of big ol spiders as long as they are not in an enclosure. But you know what I really don't trust is cats. I really hate cats. They are just too stuck up for me. And plus when you are dead asleep BAM they claw the crap out of your feet. Or they climb up your leg or furniture. I hate those little buggers. I wouldn't just kill one out of no where but man I shire would like to see them get the same treatment they show me.

Rats really creep me out. They are by far the worst part about having snakes.

I also can not stand horses, you just cant tell what they are thinking and I have been stepped on bitten and kicked by them one to many times.

Bugs fascinate me, especially ants and I'm more comfortable in the company of animals than people.

As a kid, dogs, horses and other animals were pretty much my only playmates so I guess that makes some kind of sense.

Anything with the word "pig" in its name that does not produce bacon needs to get farrrr farrrrr away from me. And that noise they make. X.X it makes me cringe.

I like about everything else. Long list of ones I love - most of them are ones that were listed here that people are scared of :P

Aww, well some people are horse people some people don't. Hint- if they put their ears back when you come up to them they want to bite you. if they tilt their ears slightly while you pet their face they like it. they will jerk their head away if they don't like how your're petting them generally. At least that's what I've concluded.

Killer Whales..
Once when I was five my parents took me to sea world. It was great watching the dolphin and whale show until they had the whale beach itself. We were in the "splash zone" and I took off running. When my dad finally caught me and asked me what was wrong I said:
"Thats how they kills seals"

I might have only been five, but I ain't no fool. I dont trust them and I think they are scary.

Other then that spiders give me goosebumps.

I literally grew up with horses from the time I could form a coherent thought.
Always knew what they were thinking and could get them to do things that baffled "professional trainers".
I watched them interact with each other and just naturally learned their body language, same as dogs.

I should've listed bears.

I don't like bears.

They can eat you.

While I don't hate these, I HIGHLY dislike horses and primates.

Its all fun and games till the monkey rips your face off....

I was on a spay and neuter trip down in Costa Rica. And a monkey tore off the top of a team member's strapless dress then ran off. Guess he wanted some melons............

I really don't like most, but not all, dogs. I can't deal with the smells, barking, and general enthusiasm. I absolutely adore my dad's dogs, so I obviously don't hate them, and I don't mind hanging out with dogs in general when I need a break from the people I'm around.
I have a love/hate relationship with horses. They're beautiful and intelligent, but I've not had many positive experiences with them. You know that thing they do where they puff out their chests while you're trying to saddle them? I can't count how many times that has happened and caused me to topple over and get trampled. I've had one roll over on me, throw me into briars, throw me into piles of dung, and knock me off by riding through low hanging branches. I can't say that I blame them, since I don't think I'd want to be ridden either.
Dolphins and whales freak me out, but I wouldn't consider myself unfriendly towards them, or any of the above creatures.
Aside from that, it's pretty much just mosquitos and parasites that I don't like.
I do like some rather unpopular animals aside from herps. I like spiders, wasps, centipedes, giant slugs, sharks, scorpions quite a bit.

Tarantulas, though I wouldn't mind having a few...they would be look only pets, though >.< feels too weird when you hold them. And wasps, hornets, and anything flying that stings/bites. Other than that, I'm a total animal lover!

I'm afraid of lakes! I was chased by an alligator once and not being able to see the bottomed of the lake freaks me out to no end! I also hate spiders, roaches, heights, the dark, and rats!!! I have a lot of issues I need to resolve! I have a lot of fears they just aren't animal related!
Oh, I'm kind of afraid of big animals (coyotes, bears, bobcats) but only when its not a controlled situation. Also, peacocks and wild hogs! Those things are mean!!!

I'm actually pretty nervous around large retics and burms. I wouldn't say scared but...reverence? Just acknowledge their power, and prefer the plexi between me and them haha.

I did... 2 got fed off and I don't touch them my husband does! LOL! I guess I should say I'm afraid of being bit by a rat! I can hold them but am very nervous and jumpy LOL. 3rd one is getting fed off too! LOL they stink...

I dislike most if not all living members of the phylum Arthropoda.

Palmetto bugs...giant flying roaches *shivers* urrrggh...
Also why back when I had ackies and everyone was telling me DUBIAS OMG DUBIAS! I was like..yea...no. Not going to happen. Crickets, different worms, etc np. Roaches? No freaking way.
Other than that, nothing really animal wise. I mean, I have a respectful attitude towards things that can kill me, IE gators, giant pythons, lions, tigers and bears, oh my! *ahem*...but I wouldn't
say I had a fear of them. I don't freak out and start shaking, I'm just aware of the fact they could end me, and give them space if they show the need for it (I like petting the giants at shows :oops: ) (wild animals get space regardless, obviously)

I suppose the animal I fear the most is man. We are capable of more terrifying acts than any other part of the wild kingdom. Chimpanzees would be a close second. I have seen the aftermath of a chimp attack, and they go for the most valuable and vulnerable body parts.

As for actual FEAR - I am fully phobic of bees/wasps/hornets. Doesn't matter if it's a picture online (thanks a lot, dude, that pic freaked me out :)), my anxiety shoots through the roof. If it's a real one near me, I either shrink away crying, freeze in total fear, or scream quite loudly and run away from it.
I used to be arachnophobic as well (i.e. I reacted to all spiders the same as above), but since working with tarantulas at the zoo I've calmed down quite a bit. Really large (tarantulas) and really tiny spiders don't bother me anymore...but anything in between still freaks me out. :)

Other than that, I have a strong dislike for roaches, flies, mosquitos (they think I'm a feast), and other pest insects. I actually really like mantises, ladybugs, many beetles, stick bugs and other such cool and harmless bugs.

I adore most other creatures. :D I like rodents and have owned most ownable ones, I think all sea creatures are fascinating and/or gorgeous, all reptiles are awesome (I just have great respect for the dangerous and deadly ones that keeps me away from them), birds are cool (and yes, I have been bitten by a macaw)...animals in general are just amazing. :D And horses are one of my favorite mammals. Much like a previous poster, I can understand their language quite easily. Actually, I understand most animal 'languages' readily. Go figure, I'm a total animal nut and magnet.

Humans now... I'll simply never understand them well, beyond what I know of body language through being an actress. Humans unnerve me, and even irritate me - the more unruly and disrespectful the more irritated I get. Hence my general dislike of children and infants. I guess that's just the way I'm wired...

Only animal I am truly fearful of is sharks - namely the Great White. When I see a picture of one or one on T.V I get nauseous and if I keep watching it, I'll start to shiver. It's horrible, especially because there seems to be images everywhere. I was looking at posters in a shop at a theme park once and BOOM Great White poster. I don't freak out but it really, really bothers me.

However! Sharks are AWESOME animals - really beautiful! Simply, the Great White scares me. I would never want them killed and I want to see one in real life one day. There is an aquarium in Florida (I think) who has a Great White program for research. Whenever they get another one, I intend to go down and see it...

But HUGE salt water crocs? Love 'em! xDDD

My skin would crawl if I had a T on me, but I'm not afraid of them in general. Thats the only animal that I dont really care for up close. Well maggots too..but you get my point.
