jarobin.id suggest some tighter fitting identical hides on each side that have only one entrance like some modified terra cotta pots from wal mart or home depants(like a dollar each),switching heat lamp to undertank heater with thermostat and switching out the stick on therms and hygrometer to digital ones..
you can put your half logs side by side in the middle and put the climbing tree in the middle of em.just my opinion though.
oh it would make your snakie feel more comfortable blacking out the sides or just the back with a background or construction paper and i hope you dont catch your bp with that fish net.jk
other than that your setup looks alot nicer than alot of new owners.:gj:

Here's a 6:40 video I posted on YouTube from my phone. I did this video mostly to show people how I took the sticky thread from BP.Net about the foil treatment and added my own special flavor to it.
Thanks for looking:

Nice video. I think I'm going to have to steal your idea of putting tin foil around the sides of the tank once I get a new one.

Thanks...that's why I put it here, to show other options. The temp in that room stays about 78 with AC but the tank has stayed at around 83. I think it looks clean too.

Also, I really wanted to show Cody's tub but, like I said in the video, he just ate last night. He has an Ultratherm UTH from Reptile Basics on one side that works really well. I actually used another piece of cardboard big enough to fit the Ultratherm, put a piece of tinfoil on it, and taped the UTH to the cardboard with foil between the cardboard and the UTH. The tinfoil works well to reflect the heat from the UTH back up towards the tub. I use my heatgun to monitor both enclosure's hot side as well as the Hydrofarm therm.

Re: Show us your set-ups
I recently made this for my bp 8-Ball. Not as pretty as the tank setups but good enough for me. I'll have to see if he likes it. Otherwise it's back to the tissue box and paper towels.

This is Sorcha, my young BP's 29 gallon set up. Sorry for all the glare. Bad time of day to take pics! http://ball-pythons.net/gallery/file...1/dscn4464.jpg
And this is Onyxia's 55 gallon set up. She's our new addition. A rescue who was "owner surrendered for unknown reasons". She's apprx 4ft in length. No weight on her yet....http://ball-pythons.net/gallery/file...1/dscn4467.jpg

and a Cool prank I did to my Girlfriend's roommate:
http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...8_683763_n.jpg
She's dead scared of snakes, and she knows Im about to buy one, so last nite, I took the tank, put some newspaper and tape to hold it in place (DON'T WORRY, I WON'T USE TAPE with my BP), 2 foam deep dishes as hides and a bowl of water. Then I used a plastic snake from Walmart, and put it inside one hide... Once she saw it, she let out a loud scream, and cussed at me for a while....:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Kind of an old post, but PetCo off of Merhar Ave should carry aspen. Its in that little strip mall deal past Wal-Mart and Sportsman's Warehouse. If not talk to the guys at Fishtopia (off of the Johansen and Danby), they sometimes carried reptile supplies if I remember correctly. Kind of a dumpy place, but its worth a shot.

I ended up just throwing it away, but I am sure if you give it a really good scrub, often, it would be fine.

I kind of hate the tank without the tree. It is a hand me down tank, and it is really cruddy (other than size). I'm planning on replacing that one and adding some climbing stuff, even though I don't think she will ever use it. One of our snakes is a climber and the other one doesn't seem interested.
I meant to attach my question to this....whoops.
Ahem...

Its an indoor/outdoor thermometer, just displays 2 temps and usually the humidity as well. Check out your local Walmart for one!!!

Re: Show us your set-ups
Here's mine! I know people say that glass enclosures don't work for BPs, but by putting towels over the top of the cage, I've managed to keep heat and humidity inside quite well! :)
