The Flexwatt, if you run it correctly will be on the back half of the 32qt. The snakes will use it when they need to or go to the other side. I haven't had any issues at all. If the snake is too big for that then you really should have them in a 41qt.

Ok so the snakes will use the lengths of the tubs instead of the depths for their hot/cool sides. That's what I was wondering. Thanks

This might be a stupid question, but on the Professional Plastics website, what are the xpvc sheets listed as?

You can't use their website. You need to find a local office and deal with them. Their website isn't updated or accurate in terms of pricing. This is a chore for people that don't mind a bit of footwork and phone calls :) But if you do that and get a relationship with your local supplier it will pay dividends in the long term.

I have one last question that I can think of at the moment,

Would I be able to use Vision tubs with the cuts you showed us in your diagram on page 8? I really like the quality of those tubs more than the sterilite but I REALLY wanna make both of your racks: the 15/32 qt and the 41 qt. I would use the V-35 instead of the 32 qt if that is possible. If not, I can always work with sterilite. I would have to use the 28 qt though because my walmart doesn't carry the 32 qt tubs.

Please let me know your thoughts as I am thoroughly confused with the differences between the sterilite tubs and the vision tubs. If anybody could tell me what the V-tubs are equivalent too I would GREATLY appreciate it (How many qts is a V-15/V-18/V-35 etc). I already know that the V-70 is basically the CB-70 and I know it will fit fine with your 41 qt rack so thats not an issue :)

    Thanks so much,
    SC

Perhaps someone that uses those tubs can help more. You're going to have to buy your tubs and modify the design to use something else. Sorry I can't be more help! Good luck.

Simple Man, where did you find the 15 and 32 quart tubs for the rack on the 1st page? I found them on the Sterilite website, but I find it odd that you can't order directly from them??

Also, you say in the first post that the shelves are 24 x 17 but your cut reference sheet says 24 x 18. Was that just a typo?

    Target!

That was how I initially did it but ended up using 18" for the cut sheet. By the time the blade took away a little bit they are slightly under 18".

I was wondering simple man how stable the bottom of the rack is being supported only on the leg supports and not a large flat piece. I know you said the super glue secures everything, just curious. Great post, thanks many will benefit from this... :gj:

I found a few places that have XPVC in my area and I was wondering if you think quarter inch thickness will be too thin? It is significantly cheaper than the .5"

Awesome! Did you cut the PVC yourself or order it cut? And if you cut it, what did you use. I'm very interested in making one of these if I can find a supplier. Thanks!

Ignore my last post. After reading through the 13 pages I found my answer. I do have another question. What is the difference between xpvc and regular PVC boards? I can special order 4x8 boards of 1/2" thick PVC at menards to build a new rack as I can't find any local suppliers of xpvc. Any input is appreciated.

So I built the rack following the guide and found that on half of the tubs, they are tight. Next one I build I'll be using a piece of cardboard as an extra spacer.

    Any suggestions on this?
