FYI: I meant 3 hours after she killed it, so this wasn't a live rat scaring her... now I know why you were worried, LOL. :D

Btw, Delilah (my yearling female) also refused her dinner for no apparent reason... she's often a picky eater, but usually takes the F/T mice pretty easily. Even Toby refused one of his three last night, and he's NEVER refused a meal! Could it possibly have to do with the weather? The outside temperatures dropped a bit this week, so maybe they got confused and think it's winter?

some have luck with ball pythons on F/T but when you have alot of them they have different eating habits, leaving a rodent in for a few hours is no big deal but for a day or so is a no no the rodents will get hungry & maybe chew on them.I only feed live thats it .

This is the second time I've heard this. Braining on a DEAD animal is fine, please tell me you are not advising someone to cut a live animal.

OP, I have one snake that will kill her ASF's and then leave them be for a few hours before she eats them. I feed late at night and just leave it in the tub with her overnight -- obviously make sure it's dead first.
Hope she stops being so picky for you soon.
