You have to obtain an roc permit first which is 100 dollars and then apply to hunt the burms. I have tried but I dont have enough money to get a hotel for a week or two. I live in sc and I cant just drive down for one day to hunt I would like to go and hunt for atleast a week. But florida is so expensive to stay at I just dont have the cash at the moment. But I believe you can take up to 4 people with you if your the one with the permit.

My husband leaves on a week long hunt on August 20th. He had to obtain a ROC permit and then send the application for the hunt to Florida Fish and Wildlife for approval. There is a $100.00 charge for the ROC permit but no charge on the other-you just have to be approved. You can have 4 other people in your party but you are responsible for them as you hold the permit/license. There are rules and the hunts have to be precisely documented. We are out of state and he has the license. As far as a guide-no you do not have to hire one but there are only certain areas you are allowed to hunt on at this time.
