personally, i'd chip hybrids. i know the hybrid subject is a touchy one, but bare with me. I think chips might help calm a lot of the fear with them. Personally, i LOVE hybrids, but if i ever owned one i would probably get it ID chipped just to make sure that the snake could 100% be identified as WHAT IT WAS and not some "cool (x species) new morph."

i think the idea of chipping hets is cool too.

I'd like to learn more about this too. I can see a lot of benefits from chipping snakes, even normals. Say for example, that a breeder sells some normals, and then someone buys one and tries to turn around and sell it for more money as a het, or for any type of reselling a snake as something it's not. I think if I ever got into breeding and selling snakes, I'd want to do this.

Chipping hybrids, big snakes, and valuable snakes all makes sense.

I looked online. The chips cost 6 dollars and an injector gun is 30. I can build a simple reader for maybe 30 bucks.
i was wondering if you can post where to find some of this info. i would like to know how to build a reader.

Another free way of keeping track of hets is not mixing them together ;)
