I like RBI racks. The sweaterbox racks can use their divider which is great.

The reason racks don't come in a lot of mix and match sizes in one rack is due to heating. Different tubs require different amounts of heat and maintain their heat differently. So mixing multiple tub sizes in one rack makes it more difficult to maintain proper temperatures consistently for all of them on one thermostat.

I'm not sure how some of the home made creations accommodate this, or if they do...but that is the basic rationale.

The 32qt RBI racks with the optional dividers are a good alternative if you're looking for 16's and 32's.

Yeah, there's an option for 4 sets of dividers for $35 when you purchase it. Or if you don't need for sets you can purchase them under rack accessories individually.

The dividers are really great. I only use one of them now, but they were invaluable when I needed to house more smaller bp's.

I just built another rack that can house 8 adults, 12 juveniles, 16 hatchlings, or a combination of those and it cost me just over $100 including the heat tape. Actually, the heat tape alone cost more than half of the entire price. Building your own rack system allows you to make it hold the type of tubs you use and have it fill the space you have available. It also costs so much less, leaving you with some extra money to put towards herp supplies or even a new addition.

Ditto! I just found somebody to build one for me (a friend), and plans for that would be great! :gj: Otherwise I'll just use the ones on the DIY forum...
