I bet this would be a good thing to the people who watch it so most realize that not all pythons are bad.. and pythons aren't bad, they just mistake people for a meal but it isn't their fault.

Let's hope they don't say anything negative..

The media lies... what a surprise.
Their 'vet expert' told several lies, and spun it to be in favor of banning snakes. Again, big surprise.
I'm sorry they didn't use your clip in a positive manner, I like to see the hatching videos too.

And don't forget that those 12 aren't just from large constrictors, that includes venomous reptiles and salmonella!

It's a shame that this is what we have come to..the lies the misinformation.. I mean the vet sat there and said the could quote "Eat a cow" currently even the largest flesh eating animal on the planet (great White shark) couldn't do that.

We all know this is how they operate. Shock sales it has for years.

The worst part is that they are legally allowed to knowing lie to the public and theres nothing we can do about it. There was a big lawsuite about the media knowingly lying to the public and the judge sided with the media. What a messed up world we live in.

    Hi,

    "Pythons Invade The Everglades
    Mon Jul 27 07:34:04 PDT 2009

Recently a family pet python got loose and killed a toddler and now pythons are taking over the Fla. Everglades. Debbye Turner Bell reports."

Your vet should be deeply ashamed of her level of knowledge about this issue and the animals involved.

She said "Twelve people have reportedly been killed by pet pythons since 1984 in just the last three years" (text on screen said 1980 ). Not only is this not english it is blatantly misleading - can someone explain how twelve deaths since 1980 managed to contain the phrase "in the last three years"?

The eggs shown hatching were infact a completely different species - one that can reach only a maximum size of six feet and is so naturally timid its response to danger is to coil into a tight ball to boot. Hence their name "ball pythons"

During the instudio segment she was in fact holding yet another completely different species called a reticulated python.

She stated that a twenty-five foot burmese python could eat a cow - this is utter garbage. A very young calf yes but by the time it would be reffered to as a cow no snake currently on this planet could eat it.

The explaination that all these snakes were released by irresponsible owners is yet another falsehood I had thought your channel above repeating.

Is it all just a strange coincidence that the numbers reported in the everglades rose after hurricane andrew destroyed the warehouses of reptile importers and dealers and wrecked the houses and lives of so many responsible and contientious reptile owners?

As for the current hysteria about the vast range of the continental united states these animals could survive in it is completely fabricated as a casual glance at the winter temperatures of most of the areas mentioned should have shown your vet, assuming she had any knowledge of these reptiles at all.

I am very, very, dissapointed in your channel for this factually void fluff piece.

Lol see I knew she was holding a reticulated python:D
But all you typed in that letter is DEFINITELY true.
I can't believe they said a 25 foot python can eat a cow..
People are always misunderstanding pythons because of the negative comments they have heard from other people and things they watch such as what the vet said in the video. All people hear is false information about snakes. But why? What did snakes ever do to the people who weren't harmed by them? Yes, snakes have harmed people, but it isn't their fault.

The media is full of it aren't they!!!! The only positive I saw out of this piece is when the only person with any knowledge of the animals, spoke up and said a dog could potentially be more dangerous than a pet snake.
