Yeah, that should have been a definite tip-off! LOL! I have known several people that it has happened to as well. It seems that it is the het pieds and the one female that you really, really want to breed that season. :rolleye2:
    Thanks J-Man!

Congrats MPenn! Bet you had a smile ear-to-ear when you sliced open those eggs. :)

I actually had another clutch that I couldn't wait to hatch but I expected the results from that one. This one just blew my mind!

Yeah, when I cut the eggs and realized what I had, your project last year was the first thing that popped into my mind. Kinda wishing that I had stuck my pastel poss. het pied with her now. But, I know who her boyfriend will be this coming season! :D

Yes, she had the ever elusive het pied markers on her. As we all know, some definite hets do not have them but some non-hets do, so it was a gamble.

Awesome! That's great to hear. Hatching out cool stuff from "normals".

IT's always worht keeping your eyes peeled when dealing with CH animals... and dinkers are always worth a shot! ;)

    Congrats!

We have two CH females we're very hopeful are het pieds (one actually has stronger markings than our 100% het pied female), and dinkers are always worth it, even if they don't prove out you still end up with neat looking normals :)

Het pied? find out next year. (she stopped eating this year at around 850G as it happens

What if dinkers don't prove genetic? Well, who cares? This girl may prove genetic (she's 1200-1300G right now) but if not she's still one fo the prettiest normals you'll ever see, and that has to count for something in co-dom breedings at least!

As for people who think dinking is a waste of time, thats fine, leave it to those of us who don't ;)
