    What I would do:

    If you are planning on getting a breedable female morph you are going to be spending some coin anyways, so why not get a pastel ghost. Everything you produce year one will be 100% het ghost. Holdback a male bee het ghost and breed him back to the pastel ghost and you will get both honeybees and the coveted humblebees year 2.

    You could also get a pastel het ghost for a little less, but you won't be sure what you are working with year 2 because they will all be 50%hets. That is the dilema I am facing right now. I have a male bee that is 50%het ghost and have to invest in a ghost just to prove him out.
