Those of my kind of books; I'm a fast reader so I like having that bulk behind me hehe
I'm going to see if my brother has them first. He is like my public library when I can't afford to buy any new books.

Re: Do you read? Favourite Books...
Green Angel Tower, the series by Tad Williams and The Flower Wars, I think that's the next series he's working on. I've got them in storage.
Stranger In a Strange Land by Robert Heinlien
Hanta Yo by Ruth Beebe Hill is right up at the top
The Chronicles of Master Li and Number 10 Ox by I can't recall the guys name but it is fantastic. Oh Barry Houghart, I think.
I was one of those who started reading The Dark Tower Series after he had written the first 3 and taken a break. While the was somewhat anticlimatic, it leaves Rolands history from then on up to the reader. I sort of like that.
Charles de Lint is great.
Orson Scott Card has some really good series out there.
A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula LeGuine, the series is really good.
I too read all of Farley's books and try to buy them when I find them.
Anything by Hugh Lofting, the Dr. Doolittle series I always enjoy.
And for those more visually oriented, Calvin and Hobbes, and anything by Berkley Breathes.
Oh, and Dandelion Wine, The Martian Chronicles and The illustrated Man by Arthur C. Clark, along with most of the rest of his writings.
That's it off the top of my head, I don't really read that much.
I hardly ever have more than 3 books at a time going.

Re: Do you read? Favourite Books...
Ohh yeahh Robert A. Heinlein is great, though some people call him a facist (but I also loved the Verhoeven movie, that the critics hated, I guess I am a right wing anarchist...:P, no not really, I just realize sarcasm)
But there is also the great Philipp K.:cens0r::cens0r::cens0r::cens0r: (sorry this guys surname equals the male genitalia in the street language), if we talk about SciFi.
Another great read is Jack Kerouacs work, "On the road" is awful inspiring.
And in the Horror corner Clive Barker- Imagica/Book of blood.

Re: Do you read? Favourite Books...
Anything by Hunter S. Thompson
The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings
Cirque Du Freak
2012 the Return of Quetzalcoatl
and a book called the Heavenly Horse from the Outermost West, sounds like something a 10 yr old girl would love, but it really is a great book
I loved Harry Potter to, but I was disappointed with the last book and it kinda ruined the whole experaince for me...

Re: Do you read? Favourite Books...
I have a zillion books that I love. But two that most people haven't heard of that I recommend the most often for people to read:
The Stars my Destination - Alfred Bester
The Great Book of Amber (actually a collection of 10 books) - Roger Zelazny

Re: Do you read? Favourite Books...
The Chronicles of Amber, remember when it was just 2 books?
There are so many books I can't recall the names or authors of that I have read and enjoyed.
