Who's got a song about their home town?

Don't the Beatles do a song called Rockey Raccoon? In it it mentions a town I lived in a few years back, called Deadwoood. As in Deadwood, S.D. Population about 2000. There is another song that mentions the name of the town I live in right now, but not forum friendly.... Only about 700 in my town.:D

I know there are a lot of theories about what the song is referencing, I don't remember what the band said was the official explanation.
