No, I don't think his freedom of speech was violated. Then by that argument every kid who walked on stage would have the right to do what he pleases under the guise of freedom of speech.

Now, that being said, punishing him is ridiculous. If he did something obscene or way out of line, then fine, but punishing him for blowing a kiss?!? Ridiculous!! The parents and community really need to band together and get that superintendent out ASAP.

i just graduated this june and we didnt have any "disruptions" during the graduation but they drilled us over and over again about how we wouldnt recieve our diploma if we stepped out of line once. its sad how the school admins now-a-days are so uptight. in the elementary in my town a boy got kicked out of school and fined for kissing a girl on the cheek. he is in 4th grade for crying out loud. this subject really gets me irritated.

THAT BOY DESERVES HIS DIPLOMA AND THE ADMIN DESERVES TO LOSE HIS/HER JOB.
