Re: where do people get frozen mice on the internet?
My order was for 50 fuzzies and 20 med rats which was around 30 dollars and shipping was only another 30. The total was just short of 70 dollars . it worked out to a fuzzy was about o4 cent and a rat was just under 2 dollars. Both cost just less than half of what i was paying for them!

Did you do FedEx 2nd day shipping? I would guess the f/t would be ok for 2days in dry ice? I am also in Georgia. Please let us know how it goes. I have been looking on their website and they do have great prices!

I did the 29 dollar 2 day ground or whatever it is. I will post when they get here. I think my wife will get the delivery cuz i will be back at the fire station station if they show up on Wednesday. She will probably just throw the whole package in to the freezer lol. I dont know why but i am excited about the order. I wish i had more snakes to order for, i have the freezer space! Cant aggravate the wife to get anymore snakes cuz i am waiting to hear if I get the chance to go to Guam or Italy with dod fire. I am dying to get a carpet python.

I just received an order from Big Cheese. I bought 25 pups, 20 weanlings, 60 smalls, and 50 mediums. They went out on a Monday from Texas and arrived on a Wednesday in Georgia just fine, still completely frozen. They are vacuum packed with polystyreen meat trays, nice and clean and all seemed to be well within the size ranges expected.

I've noticed lately that the other supplier I had used, had a bag full of rats just dumped in, that were within a couple grams of the minimum size of the range. So essentlialy you were paying for smalls or mediums and really getting the equivelant of a large weanling or a large small. In addition, there pricing had jumped about 75% in the last year and a half. A bag of 50 smalls used to cost $50 and now it's $87.50. The 60 smalls from BC cost $69. Last, I used to drive to pick them up to save on the shipping. But it was about 50 minutes one way plus gas. Now I just sit in my house and wait for the shipment to come to me, saved about $50 doing it, and ended up with more product as the sizes are all better.

From Big Cheese to just outside of Chicago, two days just a week ago. And it's 80-85 degrees here. Frozen solid. Excellent packing job, so no real worries about defrosted feeders.

    Oh, I wanted to say:

I originally bought from Rodent Pro. They weren't awful but I got quite a few LARGE MICE broken in half. I expect pinkies to take some damage because they're small and kind of fragile, but large/xl mice being broken and therefore useless was both gross and kind of an issue.

The ONLY problem I had with Big Cheese was they put one of the rats in the tray the wrong direction so it and its buddy beside it had their little paws entwined and I could only separate them by thawing. Since I was thawing three, really not a problem. (Also, yeah, those trays take up and store so much more neatly in the freezer).

I ordered from Perfect Prey a few weeks ago and I'm 100% satisfied. I did the cheapest shipping and live in Boston and there were still a few pounds of dry ice left when it got here. They packed on trays that were shrink wrapped, inside of insulation, with dry ice. Anyway, fresh, frozen, good stuff.

I ordered 75 small rats, a tray of weaned rats, and a tray of fuzzy rats.

my order from perfect prey was dropped off yesterday at the house around 4:30 pm. My wife got home around 8pm and called me since I am the fire station. From what she told me, the mice and rats were still nice and frozen and there was a good amount of dry ice remaining. My wife could not get over how they are packaged.lol She kept saying that they were packed like hamburger meat lol. She put them in the freezer and told me I needed to be home the next time I order more! As long as I do not get held for another shift at work, I will get to check them out tomorrow but so far it seems it like the order was good.
