Re: Happy Birthday Bruce Whitehead!!!!!
Best wishes to you on your birthday, Bruce. I can't even imagine trying to "celebrate" after everything that has happened to you in the last two days. However, after having met Jer and your friends yesterday I can see that you're surrounded by some very amazing people. Soak it up. Soak in the tub. Grab a glass of vino. Relax if only for an hour. Life is undoubtedly emotionally traumatic and hectic for you right now... But ya know, it can wait an hour or two. And after everything you've been through, you deserve. Happpy birthday!

Re: Happy Birthday Bruce Whitehead!!!!!
It is going to be a good birthday!!! And thank you all so much for the well wishes.
I just got back in the house and came out with my Thayeri kingsnake in one hand and a bottle of Glenfiddich in the other.
I was wrong about the stove being blown into the dining room next to the snake room, as it was the fridge that was blown into the dining room. I passed it on the way out of the snake room and was thinking that I need a stiff shot after all, then just leaned over popped the freezer open, grabbed the scotch and headed out the door.
I have been crying, laughing, mourning, and celebrating since I got out of that building with mine and Jerome's lives intact.
When you think you have nothing left, everything you find gives such a sense of joy.
I will be having a drink for all of you tonight, honoring my friends and paying homage.
Bruce
