    Keep in mind that those gauges are terribly overpriced for something that's usually very inaccurate.

    Someone here tested one of the thermometers by putting it in the freezer a few years ago, and it still read 84 degrees.

    Also, they are mounted too high in the enclosure, they should be measuring the ground temps, where the snake actually spends all of its time.

    For $12, you can pick this up at Walmart (where the indoor/outdoor thermometers are sold) and it will measure your warm and cool side as well as humidity, far more accurately than those dials (which are considered junk by more experienced keepers who have been burned by them in the past).

    Get some velcro and mount the unit at ground level on the cool side, then run the probe and set it inside the warm side hide on top of the substrate. :gj:
