I have typically heard 6'x2'x2' but since mine is a male I assume he isn't going to get to 8', correct?

Most males stay quite a bit smaller than females, so it is doubtful that it will get 8'. It is hard to determine how large the male will get since he is a cross, but I would guess that he will get around 5 to 6'.

Well I remeasured the tank and it's only 3' long but I think he is 4' so he will be good for awhile. BUT turns out I have a little more money than expected so we will be getting him MUCH sooner than I though, I'm SOOO happy! I don't know anyone who doesn't absolutely love an early bday present. I also put in an order at RBI for 2 Ranco pre-wired thermostats and flexwatt for the tank so once that is in he will be mine. WOO HOO!!! Sorry, kinda happy about it.
