What do you plan on spending your tax refund on ?

Personal IRA for half. Other half will go into savings until I see a good indicator on a stock and decide to buy. (It could be in savings for quite a while.)

I tell you what, being single with no dependents doesn't lend itself to much of a refund after it's all said and done.

I had planned to buy a small laptop - until I saw just how little I'm getting back. I guess the bright side is that I'm not overpaying Uncle Sam by much.

Have I mentioned how much I want The Fair Tax lately?

bills first, invest some.. and then the rest is for playing with.. not sure, probably a rack system or two.. then a snake or two. :D at least thats the plan.. we'll see what life decides for me

Amen. We pay more in taxes than most people make in a year and usually still end up owing. I guess I need to pop out a few kids for the tax break. :rolleyes:

I was expecting a few thousand but when I got them done the lady tells me I got $107 back...I was rather livid lol

But LUCKILY I bought my first house in May so I got the first time homebuyers credit of $7500! So I'm paying off furniture and fixing my fence and maybe have enough for the roof to be fixed too (from Gustav since I got screwed by insurance) Probably going to try and save as much as I can since I got laid off last Monday. Trying to control the urge to buy more snakes...

Stick with a "No load" mutual fund that is moderate to aggressive growth that makes 12% +/- put your dividends on DRIP (dividends reinvestment program)

Example if you invest $1000.00 at 12% then the next year you'll be earning 12% on $1120.00 and it just keeps compounding over the investment period. :salute:

Getting a new cellphone ( With a two year contract) and the rest im saving back.

With mine I am putting it back for Daytona. :D
