Some snakes seems to stick to one type of prey as soon as they start with it, or so I've heard. Looks like an anery corn, agreed? Wonder who breeds them there, because it obviously couldn't be wild caught. It shows that Lebanon is a little less of a theocracy because snakes are seen as an expression of the devil in Islam (they have the Adam and Eve scene too) as well as Christianity, and as we've seen in the past, they tend to take these types of things very seriously.

I used to live in Qatar. Animal rights are non-existent and it is easy to gain access to any exotic animal you wish. Sadly they are not well taken care off which is one of the saddest things ever. I adopted 2 tortoises because i felt so bad that they were being kept in a pile of about 50 in a bowl under a desk with a damp towel (all piled on top of each other). I worked at an animal shelter there and the amount of abandoned dogs was ridiculous as what often happens is once they aren't cute anymore they get kicked out of the house. I saw two full grown tortoises about 5 ft each stuck in a box where they couldn't move and where lying in their own feces. There was a monkey in a cage where he could only turn around in standing in the midday heat of around 45C.
I could go on but it just brings back memories. I love the Middle East it is a fantastic place but sadly animals are either treated exceptionally well or like poop.

    True man.
In Mexico too, the rural areas.

I sometimes wonder how dogs and whatnot manage to survive there.

No shots, no food, no shelter, no baths, no such thing as trimming their nails, or brushing your teeth, letting them sleep with you. People hang, shoot, kill dogs and cats over there when they find them to be a "nuisance".

I sometimes get mad in the back of my head when people talk down on people who do one little tiny thing wrong in the care of their pets. When there is countless animals in other places who are 100x worst....

Hell, there's countless PEOPLE... children who have it worse then some of our pets.

Personally when I grab mice/rats I put them into another container with a piece of food so that they can poo, pre-scent, and so they don't go hungry and try eating my snakes.

I'm not necessarily trying to defend Texas Dan (I'm not sure if he meant it in a racist way) but maybe people in the Middle East don't read as many caresheets as we do because animal rights laws are virtually non-existent, like Till said, so maybe they can't really be bothered to take care of their animals as well as we do. (sorry for the runon)
Maybe the perfect care for their animals isn't as important because they are not used to it.

Again, I'm not being racist, just trying to explain what Texas Dan might have meant by that.

    That is no better.

So he is either insinuating that particular nationality wouldn't read it because they do not care/are too dumb, or that they wouldn't read it because they are just ignorant...

I really don't see any way to infer a bit of decency in that post.
