im lookin into my first snake and i cant decide between a jcp and a pastel ball. both are marked really pretty and both are handleable. i like the jcps a little more though because their semi arboreal, atleast more than a ball. however, some people have told me theyre a little bit harder to take care of. what do you think?

btw, nice looking snakes! do you have any pictures of what you keep them in?

JCP's require more space than balls and they also require higher humidity. JCP's are also more active than Balls IMO. Check out Matt's (Dutchherp) setup in this link http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=73910
I think it is a great example of a nice setup. Also whatever you decide on, be sure to do your research on their husbandry requirements. Also check out moreliapythons.com it the bp.net of JCP's. Good luck! :salute:

I've got 2 IJ's in my room. They love fingers. The bite isn't bad and nothing you won't get over.
